By Willkiller Go To PostI still think the best idea is to timebox things. If something has to go to VAR (and I would reduce the things that do go to VAR), they should be given some short timeframe to make a decision, if they can in a short space of time it implies an obvious error. If not the original decision of the on field ref stands. Yes you'll get wrong decisions occasionally, but that to me is unavoidable. It has to be accepted that VAR is going to get things wrong, but the flow of the game doesn't need to suffer in the pursuit of the right decision, because there are times when there probably isn't one.
They should just punish time wasting teams like Newcastle more, to get the flow of the game back to normal imo

Stopping the clock when the ball is out of play is a great idea tbh
By Burt The Samurai Go To Postsure fuck it, pay his release clause and enjoy ruining another career.
bear in mind he has been playing nonstop football for however many months now. I'm sure he'll be fine with the epl after adding a WC to his legs too.
It's Man U that ruin careers mate. We make them.
By Burt The Samurai Go To Postspeaking of felix, damn I hope we can get a loan in january. the boy needs some love and his confidence back. patetico are just destroying their investment.I genuinely thought Felix will be at Man City by now. But yeah, he should just go back. He’s wasting away at Atletico.
plus he clearly wants to come back.
we can fix him and rebuild him. he needs to be close to his younger brother. this is the way it must be.
may allah guide us on our way.

120 kilos breh, pay up.

he needs to be somewhere with little pressure and where people love him regardless to regain his confidence.

That's on the manager (or managers tbh). You can absolutely develop players in the EPL from a young age. Some managers are good at doing that, some aren't. The league has little to do with it, unless the player in question is obviously not at that level.

I'm not saying you can't develop players in the epl, you obviously can, but you need to do it at younger ages, academy level stuff. go on loan to the championship for a season or 2. not pick them from nothing leagues when they're 18/19/20. the manager can't give a player experience.
bernardo and cancelo are good examples of career management. ligue 1/spain/italy then epl
rúben turned out alright because of his maturity for his age, but even then he spent 3 years here to get some experience. you need pressure, you need to play in europe against much better football teams. growth and shit.

Not the 1970s anymore where everyone just plays on.

By Burt The Samurai Go To PostI thought you needed some type of currency to do this?Cryptocurrency brother
And the currency of love
we can accept love
crypto is a big no.
obvsly if by love you mean signing felix and loaning him for a year and a half.

Keep var. limit it to 30 seconds or something. Make a decision there and there. If a goal need escape lines to be disallowed it stays. Should be a blatant offside. If errors are made, keep a tally on var refs and have them scored and removed. Main ref never has to go to a screen. Goal line tech stays.
By Laboured Go To PostI just cannot fathom being this stupid. What's that like? Is it actually quite nice?A lot of presenters on talksport talk shit just to get a rise out of people but Mills is one of those that does it because he's just a stupid prick.

Absolutely agree with this. Drawing the fucking lines was the most stupid part of VAR’s introduction.
If you can’t tell if a player is offside by the naked eye in a freeze frame, you have no business disallowing the goal.
By Batong Go To PostSounds foreignWhy is it that the original thinkers like Frustrated and Bungie die, but Batong still walks among us?
Officiating in the EPL has been trash for many seasons now. Start by bringing in better refs.
Bring back Pierluigi Collina, Horse.

Does make you wonder why leagues can't / don't effectively sign the best refereeing talent from other leagues.

The game is in play for less than 60 minutes on average anyway.
Seems to be getting worse as well tbh.
This is exactly the reason why they wanted to the Super League, to keep getting financial advantages without any football merit.
