By Eternity Go To PostHow do you rate thei chances at the world cup?Surely one of the favorites going into Qatar, along with France.
I think Brazil are top 3-5 for sure but I don't know if there is a 100% definitive starting 11, and that can be quite a bad thing.

By Laboured Go To PostFrom what I've read a lot of famous Brazilian footballers agree with him too.
Aye. From what I've read out of the bigger players that have revealed their political position, Richarlison is the one that comes out looking the best

Alisson and Firmino are hardcore Catholic, but I’d like to believe that like many Catholics they’re left-leaning.

Dunno about Firmino but Alisson is well known for being a big Bolsonaro boy
Joelinton I believe is left-wing leaning because he's from the poorest region in Brazil, northeast, same as myself. Big majority here are.
Lad. He should have been called by Tite also.

Hrrmmm. In the one hand I'd love to have fit Martial back, and he has been fucked around a bit. On the other hand, waiting for Martial to actually be injury free is very likely to be a sucker's game.
Also seems like a pretty candid interview he's given.

Martial is out in my book, bench warmer if he accepts lower wages.
Sancho - Rashford - Antony all the way.

Looks like we're going to have to finish the job. /Hitch
People rightly turning their ire at Ole after Martial's comments on how he was made to play through injury. A penny for Maguire and Rashford's thoughts in that regard.

What was Ole supposed to do? Use his incredible managerial mind to pick a different team to the XI he settled on and tried to play every week? Not likely
By Laboured Go To PostPeople rightly turning their ire at Ole after Martial's comments on how he was made to play through injury. A penny for Maguire and Rashford's thoughts in that regard. It's very rare that any footballer is completely injury free. There's usually one niggle or another that's bothering them. And those same footballers will always want to play even when hurt.
But what Solksjaer did with Rashford was especially negligent. It's clear that in the Autumn/Winter of 2019 he was playing while badly hurt. Yet he was selected anyway and developed a fracture in his back.
Rashford himself is culpable for some issues as he put off ankle and shoulder surgery far so long that he eventually broke down and required it anyway. But that could have been prevented by a stronger coach telling him to rest.
I'll always remember the EL knockout games against Sociedad as the nadir of Solksjaer's selection policy. We'd won the first leg 0-4 and had a dead rubber second leg at Old Trafford. Olé picked his strongest side for that anyway. No rest for his players ever.
By Laboured Go To PostI mean, you say this as though great-managerial-mind Mourinho doesn't habitually do the same.
Yeah but Mourinho has won over 20 trophies while Ole has been down the job centre for nearly a year
Didn't Mourinho basically bully Smalling into playing with a fractured ankle?
Levels innit. Some injuries get dramatically worse when you play through them, some don't.

IIRC Mourinho was constantly complaining about injured players at United and even implied some were lying or exaggerating to get out of playing.
