The guy went with Eriksen in a deeper midfield role because he had a decent performance last week after Utd were already down 2-0
What a moron

We'll probably panic spend a lot of money before the end of the window. Unfortunately, I've no faith in our talent identification.

i agree
By Andrew Go To Postwhat did I missI woke up in the 37th minute or something and saw Brentford were up 4-0 and I had to then check LiveScore in case the score on tv was wrong, it wasn't.
Then I went back to sleep. I woke up again before thinking I had maybe dreamed it. But it did happen.

PEDRO GONÇALVES!!!! Marcus Edwards gets into the box, manages to hold off the defender and crosses the ball for an easy tap in for Pedro Gonçalves.
Marcus Edwards > Jadon Sancho

By Xpike Go To Posti have enjoyed the drop in Bruno Fernandes stock immenselyHad some, hell, a LOT of, people claiming he was at or above KDB's level.
By Daz Go To PostEricksen was the only one who could keep the ball.
The ultimate disrespect spelling his name, as if he was Swedish. I ikke it
“Maguire is my captain” “We have a good squad of players” “This squad finished second two years ago”

By inky Go To PostAt least we won't finish bottom of the table this game week.Inky please.
By Cleff Go To PostThat's not the argument being made though. It's that we went all in on a manager with a distinct style of football, but did none of the groundwork required to see that style flourish. On a macro level I think you’re absolutely right that the Glazers and United management fucked up in hiring Ten Hag without laying the proper groundwork, sure. I think he was the wrong choice regardless so that’s neither here nor there.
I'd also argue that a distinct tactical shift is the best way forward to get results. Our last two permanent managers, Mourinho and Solksjaer had broadly similar philosophies and tactics. Both their reigns ended in shambles and both had similar issues with regards to playing style. We moved to a different method in Ten Hag, but still have so many of Solksjaers/Mourinhos players who struggle, or have neve played in possession based systems
There has been a lot of talk about Ten Hag being set up to fail which is fair enough, but by that same token the players have been set up to fail too by being coached by an inflexible, one-note ideologue who seems incapable of adapting to his current situation. And it’s only two games in. Like you mentioned in another post about Fred being incapable about playing as a deep lying playmaker, okay, but why bother trying to play him as that in the first place. It makes no sense. He’s got specific uses and with proper coaching could be a great player when his strengths are considered.
If we are going to blame the players for being incapable of playing Ten Hag’s idealized football, it’s fair game to criticize him for not being able to adapt to what he has now.

Giving Mbapp the keys to Qatar has put his ego galaxy wide.
Garcia with a nice open field American football tackle but somehow not called for a foul, lol.
Interesting new look for Sergi Roberto.

Missed PSG first penalty too, when it still was 0-0. Then Nerman took the second one and scored.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostSmh scrappy first 60 mins of the season, rayo have done wellNo, we're playing poorly and Sergi Roberto is on the field.
Just saw highlights of all the matches... and uhm... Why is it only De Gea's terrible dumb pass being asked questions of?
Why the fuck would Martinez (on a free kick) pass it to De Gea who has been shaky lately? It was very obvious as well those two Brentford players would instantly push up, they were getting ready forever to do it. tunk hunk thinking it's the eredivision he arrived at and he can just play it out all the time lmao

We’ll sort you out with a win mate dw
This is expected from minute 1 these days surely. It's panic stations soon as they see someone running at them.

By Fergie Go To PostWas obvious when De Gea started booting the ball after the 20th minute. He didn't want to take any responsibility.

I think I have a boner after this goal. Great play between Pedro Gonçalves and Trincão with a perfect little chip over the keeper from Gonçalves.
2 games, 3 league goals already. He said recently that people had no idea the difficulties he had last season with his injury on his foot and it shows, he is on top form, this is his 8th or 9th goal if we include the pre season.
