By FortuneFaded Go To PostIs that how stoppage time works? You wait until the big team has scored?stoppage time is the worst handled part in football
It is nonsensical
- There can be stoppages for 15 minutes in 1 half for injuries and what not, the ref adds 4 minutes added time
- There can 6 minutes added time, and in that added time, 4 minutes can be wasted with injuries and subs, the ref blows the whistle at exactly 6 minutes
Stoppage time is the one part of the game where imo time needs to be stopped every time the ball goes out like in rugby or nba or any other normal sport. Instead in football its just basically the ref thinking "yeah..I think thats enough now gg"

By Meier Go To Post2 goals tonight for Vaclav Cerny. Blast from the past as FM wonderkids go but he's still only 24 lol.the ps5 design is disgusting. and too big
Stopped watching when Gomez blazed it over the bar at the end.
Newcastle's time wasting was so annoying the whole game. Really would be curious to see a stop clock trialled.

We were time wasting for sure in the last moments. Very very rare you see a ref add 3 mins for that though. My bigger problem is the initial added time being 5 mins?? Where the fuck did that come from

Newcastle can definitely feel hard done by the ref actually doing stoppage time properly for once, but I can't see many disagreeing with the amount of time.
Its going to be one of those seasons.
Pool and Arse with resilience to dig in.

Mate sit and time 5 minutes. It's a long time. No way was there 5 mins worth of stoppages in that second 45.
Klopp put out that statement last week and now the referees fear him like they did Fergie.
Liverpool can't drop points at home now. They have the power Manchester Club once wielded. Fear it, run from it, the winning goals will arrive all the same.

Just the subs would be 3 minutes by the old "30 second per sub" rule of thumb, although I have no idea if that's actually how refs time sub stoppages

Klopp found the Infinity Watch?

It's all pointless anyway, the game continued and they scored. It's very frustrating and I'm not suggesting there wasn't time wasting either it's just...so inconsistent. If that really was the refs adding on the perfect amount of time then great....why doesn't that happen more often?
Ah well. Would have been a great point with such a second string side. Isak lads.

A bit of a kick in the teeth with the inconsistency

No surprise here. Seems like he'd be a good buy although I do wonder what he'd cost. Surely something like 25m at least?
Fancied us to win it comfy tonight and we did in the end but until our first goal it felt like one of those nights that ended in a mad 0-0. Jack Clarke was sensational, no surprise to me he is far more suited to this league than League 1.
And Ross Stewart... allah if we do not break our wage structure for him... there's no chance we will replace him with a player of even equal quality until we get back in the PL.

Douglas Luiz feels inevitable.
Climbing the Superbru, now that I understand the rules. Thought we were just using it to reverse jinx clubs.
Free fall in FPL though, from 2nd to 6th. Too many cheaters with Cancelo.

I wonder what is it about Casemiro that's prompted this? 🤔

You know who's been having pretty good performances lately, Ben White. Sucked to see him get shitted on for struggling in that role against Zaha
I fear for tomorrow, we are a winger and a DM away from true greatness even if Lokonga did the job today
I will say tho, 3 different players have done the 5 role (Partey, Elneny, Lokonga) now without any major changes in thr flow of the game, Arteta has done a hell of a job implementing a system
