By barber Go To PostAre you saying my eyes lied to me?
I dont know what counts as an aeriel duel. But apparently the one that comes in the air against him, where he just does nothing and it leads to a goal, does not.
Actually watching the matches it seems pretty clear it's a problem whenever he's pressed like that though. Lucky boi that Andy Carroll from Portugal was banned. Cant wait for the Mitrovic duel, and it instead of a sleepwalking Firmino.
I choose to believe my eyes who have only truly lied to me once, about a woman on a night out, over your premier league 'stats'

That can happen to the best of us. Especially if you're in Asia.
Seems Antony might be done - but we really got to start going to source instead of buying at 10x mark up.
The whole thing about Martinez is ridiculous. Yes, he is short, but from what I have watched, he has won more than a fair few aerial duels against the opponents in the games he has played for us. Has he or will he miss some aerial duels? sure but so has even the tallest of defenders. It feels like because of his height any missed aerial duel is magnified. I mean Lindelof is famous for being bad in the air and that isn't really a thing because he is tall. I mean It's like saying because he is short so every striker/forward taller than him must be criticized for not winning every aerial duel with him. Its like the most obvious talking point and it keeps being talked about once he misses and not when he succeeds.
Hold on a fucking minute!
When did this happen? If there ever was a sign that Arsenal are winning the EPL…

By Frustrated_me Go To PostUnited are so rich, so so rich.Mind you, none of this is coming from the owners.
Martinez aerial duels lol who cares. Next big striker he comes up against he will get bullied like in the first two matches.

By barber Go To PostSounds like Sau Paulo get 20% of the fee (or profit?). DamnIt's 5% of the fee if I'm not mistaken. The club that developed him gets that for all transfers he does in his career, that's the law here in Brazil. Palmeiras for example got a bit from Jesus.

It's a solidarity fee and 5% of the transfer fee is divided by the clubs where the player has played from since he was 12 years old until he is 21.

I'm pretty sure Ruben Amorim gave up on the game yesterday to show the board he has fuck all to work with.
Some baffling decisions yesterday, dropping Pedro Gonçalves to the midfield when he is our best goal scorer, putting Coates (a center back) as a striker on the 65th minute.
It's all gone terribly wrong this season, besides some terrible management, we've been hit with a lot of bad luck.
Daniel Bragança was going to be our 3rd choice midfielder for the season and he got injured on the first pre season game, will only be back in January at best.
Paulinho is our only senior striker and he is injured.
Jovane Cabral was brought back as he is a winger who scores a lot and is an excellent free kick taker, got injured midweek and will be out for a while.
Last night's match felt like one of those games that we could be there shooting all night and the ball would never go in.
We were by far the best team, balls hitting the post, goal line clearances, completely domination on the first half.
Chaves got the lead thanks to a looping header from outside the box that ended on the top corner, a one in a million header.
Grabbed the second on a counter when Sporting was desperately trying to score and the players heads had gone.
We made something like 20 crosses straight to keeper.
The team is completely shattered, it's going to take a miracle to bring them back.
