Was just a very meh performance. I dont think we got our rhythm together at all. Expecting 5th or 6th after that

Zinchenko was average but at least we didnt have to play Tavares like last season
Hopefully we can avoid Cedric too
5/10 performance

Good win for Arsenal, Palace looked good. They'd be a really solid team with a quality striker. Arsenal lost that game 3-0 last season...

You heard me.
We lost 3-0 here a couple months back to derail 4th.
We haven’t allowed this game to derail our hopes of 4th this year.
We still have a lot to work on and it is not the performance I was wanting, but I am happy that we walk away with a win and the clean sheet.

Not at all. They did a great job keeping us off the ball and disrupting our passes but for me we just didn't put it together out there. Nice cagey win though.

0-2. three points. at palace away.
that's an absolutely fantastic result.
however... the performance was quite bad, overall.
maybe i should cut them some slack because it is the opening game of the season against a difficult opponent, but i'd hoped they were further along than they were today. couldn't really tell that a lot of these lads have been playing together for a while now.

I think this performance showed the importance of Tamo. His ability to get forward makes things so much easier for Saka.

If we don't have him back for Utd it's gonna be bad.
It's refreshing to see Arsenal fans not overreacting after a good result. Heads down, bring me top 4.

might well be the best teenager in the world right now
By Plasma Go To PostWe beat them a couple of months ago with Cedric playing RB.Yea but erik ten bags taught them that passing the ball is good since then
The season has started and United’s starting line up on Sunday is going to have 4 players (minimum) who aren’t good enough for a team with Top 4 ambitions.

Now that I have had time to rest after that game I can comment freely.
I was thinking after five minutes that it was maybe the best football we had played since Wenger. The movement and passing was excellent. It was able to continue for a bit, including after the goal.
However, I don’t know what it is about with this aide under Arteta but one defensive error, this time by Ramsdale, and it is like we completely crumble. After that moment, Palace were able to get back into the game. It is like they sensed ‘this team will make errors and are ripe for the taking’.
Ramsdale made a couple good saves, but Palace should have scored.
Saying that, we really had two clear cut chances of our own that should have gone in. Odegaards miss and some of the play feom Saka and Jesus made me remember “The thing about Arsenal…”.
At least we didn’t concede, and Saliba looks like the second coming of Tony Adams. He looks so composed and constantly was in the right position. One of those things where you wish he was in the team last season, but would he have actually developed into the player he is.
Overall, I feel positive. Was a difficult fixture for us last season. We also start this season over better than last year.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostNow that I have had time to rest after that game I can comment freely.yeah i posted that during the game, ramsdales error completely shifted momentum to Crystal Palace. Game was almost gone after that. But I think its still a good result, clean sheet, away at crystal palace, 2 goals, Jesus, Saliba, Zinchenko getting their first Arsenal epl games out.

Think CP away is one of the hardest non top 6 fixtures, if not the hardest; we did well to defend our early lead including Saliba debuting in the PL with a MOTM performance and our team is only going to be more exciting as Tomiyasu, ESR and Vieira join the side
I liked Arsenal's performance. But they definitely allowed Palace to get back in the game. They gave them the confidence something was possible here. I remember thinking at some point during the game that Arsenal's attacking play is great when everything flows. But if one or two links in the chain aren't performing they have a hard time getting the motor running again. Especially Saka and Martinelli seem to alternate between brilliant runs and silly solos that end up nowhere.
Mullock says 10 Hag wants Gakpo, but PSV won't decide until after their CL playoff with Monaco on Tuesday.
He's been ahead of the curve on Malacia and Eriksen stuff.
A cheaper alternative to Sesko? What a surprise :lol

Erling Haaland may be a rarity in the brand-conscious world of blockbuster transfers: a superstar signing whose professed love for Manchester City is actually genuine.
