By Freewheelin Go To PostCan Navas play out from the back (well)?Nope, 5/10.
Might sound drastic, but if we can't get Antony I'd much rather we end the transfer window with no further signings than making the wrong signing. Asensio, Pulisic and Gakpo just leave me cold.
Bringing in the right profile of player is crucial now. Bringing in someone who doesn't fit, just leaves you with an expensive bench rider who will be hard to sell.

By n8 dogg Go To PostNo way Varane makes it through a season unscathed. Maguire will get plenty of game time.Feck that play Lindelof over him. Probably won’t look like a chuckle bro next to Lisandro

I'm sure we signed Hazard to "fill the #7 shirt", and it did make some sense on paper back then when we needed a boost, but what a disaster signing that has been.
By Freewheelin Go To PostCan Navas play out from the back (well)?Yes. Long as it’s better than De Jay, it’s enough.
Glad we’re gonna try to get in a midfielder over the line before deadline day. Would be happy with whoever the club deems to be the right choice, but definitely want De Jong for the lulz.

Fucking criminal from Klopp to neglect the midfield as much as he did. Almost as bad as selling Minamino.
Massive red flags everywhere in that Liverpool midfield since Wijnaldum left really and signing Thiago didn't really improve the situation, quite the opposite. It's hilarious that Klopp opposed to buying young cheap talented midfielders because he still believes Ox and Keita can avoid pulling their hamstring every time they walk.

Klopp’s unrelenting faith in his players is a critical part of his management style. Just have to take the bad with the good.
Furthermore Klopp is always trying to integrate new youth players. He will always be more open to giving a youth player a chance instead of risking disgruntled players on the bench.

I'm slightly scared by the fact that Newcastle are interested in Alvarez so late in the window. With owners like that they are probably crazy enough to throw in a 60 million bid. Leave our players alone guys :(
I put 1-1 on the bru, and I’m standing by it. There’s no way Southampton are as bad as we were last week.

Not happening m8, most likely scenario is we're done with permanent transfers now. We're going to try and get at least a loan move in but I'd be surprised if we made another proper bid for a player, and even more surprised if it was a big money offer, and even MORE surprised if it was for a midfielder over a RW'er

We have Antony for 90 million if you need an RW.

By WoodenLung Go To PostGlad to see The Times got some sense.Has Mendes tried to get Ronaldo to Dortmund?
2nd best team in Germany, Haller out, they're in the CL, etc.
@penny pls respond
By FootbalIFan Go To PostHas Mendes tried to get Ronaldo to Dortmund?He has behind the scenes - Kehl and Watzke gave a public friendly "this would be awesome, but there is nothing to this rumor" reply. BVB can absolutely not afford him and we already got a Haller replacement with Modeste in place. Furthermore we are still trying hard to get 17yo wonderkid Moukoko to sign an extension.
