someone needs to have a talk with foden and make him understand that he should be grateful he's playing there.
By Willkiller Go To PostHixx said he agrees with this. I don't, when he says "why should a player be able to" I mean they get a yellow card for it? It's a classic foul, but not dangerous. I really don't see the problem.
makes no intention to play the ball and he goes into his knee. i hate it. i told you i would prefer a sin bin system which you weirdly left out.

tidy player, but clearly a system babby.
will drop down to a club like everton the moment pep drops him.

Well the tweet didn't mention that, I just said you agreed with it.
But yeah, no intention to win the ball...but it isn't dangerous. Contact with the knee isn't inherently dangerous. A yellow is absolutely the right punishment imo.

That is his Dad, Freddie Howe
By Willkiller Go To PostWell the tweet didn't mention that, I just said you agreed with it.I did think it was a yellow, but dangerous is sort of open-ended. Studs into a player isn’t the only way you can be “dangerous” — taking someone out at the knee has an inherent level of danger because it’s so easy to get injured that way.

Brilliant point.
But all physical contact does come with "n inherent level of danger". There really wasn't a huge amount of contact. Sure the contact point was the knee but KDB goes down because of the pace he's running at. It's always good to judge the reaction of the player that took the challenge and the rest of the team, they were far from incensed.
Anyway, all subjective to a point but VAR has correctly applied the rules there imo.

By Frustrated_me Go To PostNeuer all gameIt was not that bad, 6/7 saves and they did hit post once
Mighty impressive from the Toons, they could have won but 3-3 seems like a fair result. Been very surprised by their "lack of activity" in this transfer window but maybe they don't need reinforcements if they can already play like this.
By Scum Go To PostNewcastle are playing European football next season.
Not without a couple of quality additions late in the window. We're a (very likely) Wilson injury away from it being Chris Wood up front
By Scum Go To PostWho do you want up front, Willi?
Wilson. He's such a good finisher. We just need quality cover. What we really need for the first 11 is a RW, Almiron is an absolute workhorse but he's technically very very average.
