By Laboured Go To PostI posted two videos of literally every arial challenge against him and he did well in every single instance even though Brentford persisted with it. I actually think ETH was probably wrong to sub him off in fact.I watched the videos you posted the other day and it did seem like he held his own pretty well, but he did look really small out there. Teams will target him repeatedly, whether or not it works out directly or if they sort of look for second balls and hope that they've dragged him out of position enough to take advantage of that will remain to be seen. He got pretty wide from goal on a number of them.

Both Brighton and Brentford targetted him. He's obviously strong and he doesn't make it easy for attackers but the reality is in the PL he's at a big physical disadvantage, teams will target him and they will get results from doing that...even if he doesn't get beaten every single time. Welbeck absolutely bullied him. United have conceded 6 in 2 games with him at CB and he was pulled at half time in the second, this is a #narrative lads.
From what little I've seen he could be pretty useful as a DM but you know...Casemiro
seems we're giving Pepe to Nice and bringing in a new winger

Turkey meat is fucking amazing, someone please ban Fortune. I wish I couldve more than once a year, it's too fucking expensive.
Congrats on Casemiro United m8s. About Anthony, I really don't think he's anywhere near 80m elizas worth, but hey, United are gargantuan, that won't make them bankrupt.
Ruben is gone after this season. He was pissed at the board during the press conference. He was asked if he didn't feel that the fans would think that he was inconsistent because he previously said that Tabata had been sold to keep Matheus Nunes and now Nunes was sold, Ruben Amorim answered that he wasn't the one who was inconsistent, Matheus wanted to stay, Ruben didn't want to sell Tabata either but the board told him that it had to happen for Nunes to stay, in the end the board really wanted to sell Nunes.
The money from Nunes won't be used on players as it is needed for basic things at the club (how the fuck are things so bad financially after almost a net profit of 80Mโฌ on transfers this season, Champions League money, record profits on merchandise and season tickets) and he hopes that the next person to seat on his chair won't have as many financial difficulties.
Jovane Cabral is back in the squad and will be renewing his contract.

Except that one header goal they scored, where he was completely man handled ๐
Ten Hag has got to be the best Ajax manager of all time at this point. Just giving them hundreds of millions of euros
By Perfect Blue Go To PostLmaoooooAjax beat Groningen 6-1 last weekend lol
Literally this meme
A thread about the press conference. Our president is really going to fuck up the only thing that is keeping him in power, the day Ruben Amorim leaves, the whole board is going down.

That is a lot of money for Antony
Martins, you surprised it was Wolves who got Nunes? Way you talk about him it seems he was better than that

By Oddinho Go To PostUnited will really want to put the opening disasters behind them and go all out against us, but weโre in a similar boat and need a statement win. Hope we smash them.
By Cleff Go To PostI worry that Antony would have the same problem as Sancho. Technically excellent players that struggle in the PL due to a lack of top end athleticism.Antony has more burst than Sancho. It still isnโt elite burst but it isnโt mad regular like Sancho
You can get around that by having a good structure in place where players know exactly how to attack. But United lacks that. We rely a lot on our wide players winning their 1 on 1 duels. Sancho can't do that unless he has a lot of space.

Could have done with both of them
bring me r sanchez and d welbeck
By Laboured Go To PostI'd rather be spending that on a striker, and/or a goalkeeper.

That is a ton of money for Antony. Will it be a record transfer for the Eredivisie?
By Laboured Go To PostHe's great but very much a counter-attacking winger imo. Part of me wonders if he feels the same about Rashford and it will be him that gets ousted if we get Antony.I think if we get Antony he will become our predominant wide right player while Sancho goes to the left.
By n8 dogg Go To PostThat is a lot of money for AntonySurprised? Unfortunately no, it's a Mendes club, he is a Mendes player and Jorge Mendes is balls deep in our club but Nunes is better than that and he knows it.

Ruben Amorim confirmed again today that Nunes didn't want to go but the board really wanted to sell him.
There are rumours that Jorge Mendes promised him a move to a better club in the future, wouldn't be shocked if his value blows up this season.
There are few midfielders with his profile, he is strong and quick, can dribble and push his way out of tight spaces, good passing and shooting skills.
I think he will adapt really well on the Premier League.
He is a great guy, very humble and hard working so it's a shame to see him at such a piece of shit club.
By Cleff Go To PostThis is all that matters.
Supporters will be out massively on monday.
Their hands must be forced.
ยฃ15m plus a player for a 33 year old that Arsenal had to pay off to leave is wild to me. Another sign that the transfer market is incredibly over heated.
Why did we terminate his contract ._.
Couldn't we have just sold him for nothing and included a stupidly high sell on percentage or something.

By inky Go To PostPalinha to Fulham too20Mโฌ for a midfielder who looked great against Liverpool on his first Premier League match.
The value was poor but everyone was ready for Palhinha to leave, he is 27, we already had a backup and we needed to sell players.
The situation with Matheus Nunes is far worse because we don't have a backup and we were left with just 2 senior midfielders, the board told the manager that we had to sell Tabata (a player he really liked) to keep Matheus Nunes only to also sell Nunes a little over a week after and tell the manager that there wouldn't be much money left for transfers has the money was needed for basic things at the club.
Thank fuck Ten Hag overruled them. Really don't think Torres would have performed well here. He's not as good on the ball as Martinez and nowhere near as aggressive. Lindelof with a better passing range. He's taller, but without that aggression he really wouldn't be any sort of improvement.
