Last pre season game in 45 minutes against Wolves. All eyes will be on Franco Israel, the 22 year old Uruguayan keeper that we bought from Juventus U23.
He said recently that he choose us because he was promised the cup games so he would have 6 to 10 games at a decent level.
Unfortunately it looks like he will have to play half of Champions League matches and two of our most difficult matches in the league away at Braga and Porto.

Adan was one of the reasons for a good defensive record and now having to play a 22 year old without any first team matches in his career has me very concerned.

Injuries have really hurt us this pre season. St. Juste was one of our big signings of the season and got injured on the first day of our training cup in Algarve and just started training without limitations a few days ago. Daniel Bragança was supposed to be our 3rd option for the midfield but got an ACL injury on the second week of training and is off for the rest of the year. Now Adan is out for probably 2 months.
On a small squad as ours, this is terrible.

Don't think I mentioned it before but as some of you know, most Portuguese clubs are not just football clubs and have other sports.
Porto had a cycling team until a few days ago. 8 of their cyclists were suspended for doping with another 2 also under suspicion.
