By Esch Go To PostJesus saka martinelli nketiah esr looking to be a movement nightmare for defenses. Whoever argued with me he wasn't a good signing was absolutely mental. I would actually be excited for the season if we weren't harboring a monster, amazing how arsenal will find a way to piss in a nice dinner.
I hope Jesus is sensational, but let’s not get carried away. It is only preseason. I am still worried that he is not a pure number 9 that we need.
If he keeps this form up all season, then it will have been an exceptional buy.

how did they play apart from the goals?

I missed the first thirty minutes.
From what I saw, we controlled the game well and created good chances. Seville were awful, so bit hard to tell how much of this was us being great.

He's not a 100 percent complete 9 but we ain't gonna get that. What we'll have is a pretty good series of overlapping threats that'll pose a lot of problems if we maintain a decent level of fitness. I was impressed by Nketiah's continued improvement as well... I don't think Jesus is a perfect player but I think he'll thrive in our system is all
Our starting 11 is just about good enough. There are still areas of weakness, especially at right back and in midfield. But overall, I think we've a good enough side to challenge for the Champions League spots. Maguire and Martinez might be able to take some of the ball playing pressure off our midfield and we might see something close to a functioning modern football side.
But there's a startling lack of quality in our back ups. Elanga and Pellistri are hard workers, but they aren't ready to play regularly. And Donny just doesn't cut it unfortunately. Makes great runs and is good with quick interplay. But we need a player that'll contribute consistently. He drifts in and out of games.
Malacia looks like a quality addition and will be challenging Shaw in the next year. I also think Eriksen won't be used as a rotation option with Bruno, but rather as someone who'll play alongside him.

I really hope so. Most important thing for me is that his finishing has been excellent.
In Arteta I trust.

I am really excited to see how we perform against Palace. We were pretty poor against them last year, so this will really let us know how far the team has come.

I'll also say that it can't really just be him scoring. If there are times when he gets locked up by teams and that'll happen, we're gonna need players that will actually take those chances and score like mister I don't do risks odegaard 💅💅
Maguire is having a good preseason. Generally solid in defence and making some good passes into midfield. Hopefully that translates to good performances in competitive matches.
United plays again tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how Martinez goes. Think he and Maguire could form a very complementary partnership. Both are good on the ball which will take some pressure off midfield.

The quality of our squad is still going to let us down this season, but the change in attitude and performance is clear already.

You need 11 great players and 11 good back ups to compete at the top of the PL
We have too many good players to too few great ones for sure, but even too many okay ones. Dalot, McTominay, Elanga are just okay. Shouldn’t be starting.
The only players even close to the quality of City/Liverpool’s starting XIs are De Gea, Maguire (don’t @ me), Fernandes and Sancho.
Yeah, the loss actually helps to ground expectations in reality of where we are.
There is still 4 weeks of the window left, inshallah we get more business done.
More impressive when you consider ETH has had 4 weeks training and we've lost 8 players.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. If we need to go into the season with Dalot and Elanga so be it. CM is the absolute priority. Need that above all else.

I can understand the targeting of Antony. There's no quality after our starting 3 forwards. We need to address that area as well. If it means using the funds earmarked for FDJ then so be it.
A very AM type result but was pleased with a lot of what I saw there. Early days but looking promising.
Going to be an easy win for Pep boys. Haaland probably going to bag his first hat trick against Adrian.
Nunez on the bench, right move because he's not ready at all and ridiculing himself won't do any good to his confidence.
Fucking hell Arsenal won 6x0 against Sevilla?
I will still take a point at Palace next week. We'll probably lose.

Diaz needs to step up his game this season, he's huffing and puffing a lot but his end product is lacking. The opposite of Jota basically.
Lol that's actually spot on.

Now that Takumi-sama is gone, Liverpool won't win the domestic cup double this season, mark my words. No amount of Darwinism can replace the void he's left.
