Thinking of the season in general I think the 5 subs rule will be very useful for us and any of Jones, Elliott and Carvalho could have breakout years.
Think as well there's some uncertainties about our attack, or at least it's no longer the slam dunk it once was. Jota injured, Firmino's legs another year older, unknown if Diaz can get a Mane-level output, Nuñez ñew to the league and has supposedly bad build up play. It won't be much of an issue if Thiago and Fabinho can stay fit, or if the aforementioned 3 young midfielders can kick on and give us a more technical midfield.

Looks like we're signing Ellis Simms on loan from Everton instead of Broadhead. Unless we sign the latter permanently which would make sense tbh. 24 and in his last year there. Be pretty fucking happy with those three as our centre forward options. Get a unit in midfield that is more talented than O'Nien, a right back and then some cover in goal and left back and we'll be fine this season.
But until we get those 5 or so signings... we'll struggle. Especially if we play fucking Gooch at rb.
