By Scum Go To PostMorning, lads.
Right so that's our defence sorted, now onto some lovely attackers.
Last season opening game was:
Ritchie -- Clark -- Fernandez -- Krafth -- Murphy
----------------------- Dubravka ---------------------------
Next season it'll be:
Targett -- Botman -- Schar -- Trippier
----------------------- Pope --------------------
Man, the Ashley era really is over isn't it.

If we had Raphinha Jesus and Saka surely that'd be one the best dribbling front three in the prem (assuming they even play together)
By n8 dogg Go To Postwhere’s big dan burn
Think he'll still start a fair bit, especially at the beginning of the season. But Botman will displace him at some point I'm sure, left footed CB. Burn and Botman would be one fucking physically indimidating CB pairing though, hope we see it.
By Meier Go To PostUgh, good luck with the recovery. Surgery necessary?Don't think so. Got a brace over my whole leg to keep it straight for the next six weeks. Using crutches is fucking exhausting.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWhat really happened?I was climbing the tree to rescue a kitten and it was an ugly kitten and all the other kittens bullied it and it was an orphan also

By n8 dogg Go To Post@meier @danYou could say it was maybe a valid concern, but this person's tweet is not a good example because Phillips is a replacement for Fernandinho, Cucurella is a replacement for Mendy and Grealish was effectively a replacement for Aguero. For better or for worse, City's first team squad is pretty small. I wish we had more depth.
damn pre season already, thankfully the break has flown bywith the constant reddit f5 of the Jesus saga

Howard Webb is confirmed to be the new PL chief referree and the United fans here are pretending like they aren't actually going to sign anyone despite half the league not signing anyone yet
By Batong Go To PostNeverton playing?Neverton are current holders of the "avoided relegation" trophy m9. No slander until the season begins.

I can absolutely see Chelsea's new owner going for a big silly marketing signing. Neymar or Topher, pick your poison

So who was rodri to replace?
By Kidjr Go To PostSo who was rodri to replace?Big Fabian Delph.
Either way, City haven't had a big squad under Pep and it is by his design, for better or for worse. Here's an ESPN article on it from today. Interesting factoid:
“A study conducted by the CIES Football Observatory in February 2022 revealed that City had used 28 players in domestic top-flight matches in the previous 365 days and that, in Europe's top five leagues, only West Ham -- with 27 -- used fewer.”
https://www.espn.com/soccer/manchester-city-engman_city/story/4690345/why-man-city-value-squad-happiness-over-depth-as-raheem-sterling-and-gabriel-jesus-set-to-leave
What this boils down to is that essentially every guy gets ~30 games or more since we play ~60 every season. Again, that person may have a valid concern as a general rule of thumb, but it doesn't apply to City at all. It hasn't and it won't at least while Pep is the coach. City need more players, not less.
By Willkiller Go To PostEither they are genuinely interested or the story of Ronaldo being pissed about how the club are going about strengthening is true and is trying to pressure the club.

Expect there'll be even more protests and anger at the Glazers after this summer. Will it change anything? I doubt it.
No chance we sign Ronaldo lol come on now. Probably the perfect striker for us though.
