The Pels have some choices to make with 2-ways, depending on who is going overseas or not. In no particular order:
- Dereon Seabron
- Jared Harper
- John Butler
- Daeqwon Plowden
- John Petty, Jr.
- Deividas Sirvydis
I'm not really high on any of these guys becoming bench guys except for Plowden and Sirvydis.
- Seabron can't shoot and has terrible touch around the rim, despite being able to get there at will
- Harper is not good enough on offense to make up for his 5'10" height and poor defense
- Butler is tall but doesn't really do anything with it and Chet has 20 lbs on him
- Plowden has a decent shot and some NBA bench player athleticism
- Petty is like a budget Crowder with a slightly better shot
- Sirvydis is a confident shooter, is relatively tall, and more mobile than i expected

Mitchell walking on air tho I bet
Best case scenario is the semis just like the Jazz, only now he's in NY

By DY_nasty Go To Postswin can do no wrongHer husband is helping her make some Petty Cash shirts for the new season. I'm looking forward to seeing what the design will be.
By masud Go To PostWhy though? He's a bum!
I just hope they don't trade RJ…
The fit is just so clunky man. I don't get why they are so eager to pursue Donovan after the moves they just made. Obviously there is a price point where it's worth it to just add him and figure it out later, but I hope theyre able to walk away from a bad trade.
Thibs was never going to play Grimes so might as well give him up with Randle and Fournier for Donovan and Conley Jr
Jazz would be dumb to not get rid of Conley jr
Would have to go ultra small with Brunson, Conley, Donovan though
Melo off the bench too

(if Randle is a part of a trade it would just increase the amount of picks they would have to give up)
I mean you at least got to pretend you want to win games before the deadline, getting Randle they could say they got an all-star

This is pretty cool and the training resources provided seem like definitely the kind of thing I wanted when I threw my name into the ring to help coach a local little kid team:
Some of the markets that they picked for this initiative are interesting: Louisville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Seattle. These all seem like candidates for expansion when the league expands to 32 soon, though I'm willing to bet Seattle is a lock.
I just don't want to be in a situation where we're wondering if we overpaid and wondering how the rosters going to work. If you're going to overpay for a guy he should at least make sense as an addition from a team building standpoint. Leon Rose should draw some hard lines here.

There's trading 6 second round picks going hard and then there's trying to get value from Danny Ainge going hard. I hope they can tell the difference.
By DY_nasty Go To Postwhatever happens lol KnicksWhat if it all actually works out for the Knicks for the first time in nearly 30 years???
Almost sad for Brunson if he got sold a bill of goods by his dad and Rose, getting told he gets to be "the man" in New York with no Luka to "hold him back," only to have to play second fiddle to Donovan Mitchell and lose in the 1st or 2nd round every year.
By Kibner Go To PostWhat if it all actually works out for the Knicks for the first time in nearly 30 years???Regardless of roster moves, I don't think this can actually turn around until they fire Thibs. Dude doesn't fit the current league at all.

That NYK trade:
NYK receives Mitchell and GayDanny wants all the picks
Utah receives Fournier/Reddish/Toppin/McBride, NYK 2023/2025/2027 1sts, Mavs 2023 pick (top 10 protection), Wizards 2023 pick (top 14)
My homer conspiracy theory is Ainge is sending out smokescreens to fuck with Brooklyn on the 3 or 4 team deal they are working on. Brooklyn has been playing that game through Woj and for some reason James Jones’s front office does not leak anything out even if its for smokescreens (prolly cause his staff is like 5 people). Ainge does not hesitate to play that game right back though

We'll be paying Brunson like 15 percent of the cap when it jumps.
Why aren't all contracts descending?
