By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostThe worst thing about this whole Nets fiasco is that everyone - from KD to Kyrie to Harden to Simmons to Nash to Atkinson to Marks - has been completely opaque about what's going on in the locker room. There are plenty of stories about Kyrie undermining Nash every chance he got. .
We got a couple of vague stories about Harden being the adult in the room, and that's it. KD and Kyrie tweet only subliminals, Nash is a PR guy for Marks most nights. The team isn't even honest about injuries.
For all Rudy's faults at least we know what he thinks about his team's perimeter defense ffs
My favorite one was when he asked to see Kobe's MVP trophies
Sources say the Jazz initially insisted on the Timberwolves’ inclusion of small forward Jaden McDaniels in the package. And that’s for good reason. McDaniels is one of the true up-and-coming two-way small forwards in the league, the kind every team tries to find. Minnesota didn’t want to include him.I mean, I like Jaden McDaniels, but I don't know about that. I guess I just have to hope that the Wolves are willing and able to buy their way back into the draft every year.
Thus, according to the sources, the picks package the Timberwolves were willing to part with grew substantially. In the end, the Jazz come away with two young players, Kessler and Vanderbilt, whom they believe they can develop, as well as a package of picks and players the Jazz can use to retool a stagnant roster on the fly.
By domino Go To PostYep. Just waited for the NBAPA
lol
By domino Go To PostWhy would they have to wait on the NBAPA? 🤔The precedent is a guy essentially getting released straight up for just an arrest. All this went down within the crazy small window of his contract expiring and getting another. So while its not a suspension, its still punishing a player.

And Brunson keeps sliding down that list of highest paid point guards. If Garland is worth 38 to 46 mil per year then 26 per for Brunson is fine.

Marks either has an incredible master plan or we're literally starting from zero with this roster.
Frankly they should definitely dump the entire roster, get some talented young guys and a boatload of draft picks. If I’m you, I’d be rooting for a tank squad with… say Donovan Mitchell at the head of it.
Otherwise you’re stuck building around Ben, and nobody in their right mind does that.
By bluemax Go To PostNot that he knows anything more than any of us, but Jamal Crawford was on the Mariners game and the announcer asked him his Kyrie/KD Predictions. Crawford said KD to Phoenix and Kyrie to Los Angeles, not specifying which LA team.Shit

Brown and Edwards are/were our talented young guys. Patty Mills couldn't even stay on the floor against the Celtics and he got resigned.

DY plz
By masud Go To PostGarland is like four years younger and hasn't even peaked whereas Brunson probably is who he is at this point. Why do you do this lol

Why do you do this lolI'd also argue that Garland is already better than Brunson. Not that I think Brunson is bad or anything, but what Garland did at age 21-22 was really impressive. Cleveland is nice if they stay healthy.

And the other dudes that are paid more are either a) veterans with MULTIPLE MVP / All-NBA / All-Star creds that are at their peak earning years or b) younger dudes that are better and on that trajectory.
Like it's a really dumb to even mention that Ja Morant is paid more than Brunson like no shit? He should be! That doesn't mean Knicks didn't overpay lol.
By n8 dogg Go To PostSo basically any team that can trade for Durant wants to do so to win a title but they have to give up their core that puts them in that position and then when Durant gets their and realizes they aren’t good enough they will be out of all their picks. Makes perfect sense.

Makes perfect sense.Unfortunately for the nets no team is pulling that trigger without full commitment from Durant prior he is on a 4 year deal but he is 34 teams dont have time to waste trying to retool a contender after trading for him
Unfortunately for the nets they gambled on the wrong personalities for their superteam. Plus covid and all the vaccine shit they couldnt control it was literally worst case scenario

Good. Durant seems like the kind of dude who cares too m much about his stats and reputation to dog it for 4 months, so maybe there's a chance we're in a better place at the all star break.
By rodeoclown Go To PostLakers about to get bailed out of their Westbrook problem. They can't keep getting away with it.And it says they are wanting seth curry instead of joe harris because of their contracts, like wtf you are getting out of westbrook and being picky
Lakers gotta be the luckiest team if they get out of Westbrook and get an additional player
At least ask for a ton of draft picks

By rodeoclown Go To PostLakers about to get bailed out of their Westbrook problem. They can't keep getting away with it.WB is a massive expiring contract and the Nets are blowing it up, so this effectively acts a reset for them. Every year since WB signed that extension it was said to be "not tradeable" and yet he's been traded 3 straight years now, maybe a 4th soon.
I don't want Kyrie at all though.

Nets have no leverage at the moment, so it makes sense to try and get more from them.
