What in the actual fuck
I'm getting the sense that KD might not be the team building mastermind that we thought.
By Old King Rob Go To PostKD: trade me to a good team and take their 15th man because I need all the help I can getdamn there really needs to be some sort of of thing in the NBA where a superstar vet can choose what team they play for.
Call KD's bluff and see if he'd turn down an opportunity to play with Lebron & Westbrook.
Edit: or to play in Toronto.

the hardest road
Wish teams would just be petty sometimes
You don’t have a NTC and you got 4 years left
Trade him and Ben to Sacramento for Fox and Sabonis cuz both dudes deserve to be in basktball hell

Pretty good Payton replacement. Just need to re-sign Looney and another big wing/stretch big to replace Porter.

By knux-future Go To Postall my team has done is add the 2018 rockets but older and more washedAt least you didn't lose your second-best player for nothing after making the WCF
I like Rudy. Sad to see him go. Getting 6 first round picks and some other tradeable assets isn't awful though. Jazz did fine on that, but I will miss seeing Gobert play.
KD can get to Miami if Lowry is included, and can bring Seth with him.
Seth / Strus? / Jimmy / KD / Bam
with no depth lol
You still pull the trigger on that all day though...Lowry and Duncan were complete butt in the post season and Duncan was bad and in and out of the rotation.

What exactly is his leverage here? Sitting out a year at his age?
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostWhat exactly is his leverage here? Sitting out a year at his age?star power is enough in this league, no one is going to trade the amount of assets it would take to get him with the risk of him being disgruntled for even being there, all these stars that have requested trades have gone exactly where they wanted to
That star power thing has only worked with a few teams and they've all been burned at this point. Don't know how much longer its gonna work for flaky types

The Pelicans got what, 3 starters and a lifetime of draft picks for AD? PG, Harden, and Gobert pulled the same. Simmons was traded almost straight up for Harden.
If the teams he wants to go to, don't have an All Star player or a ton of assets (or both), I don't think these trades just magically happen.
Guys who end up where they want with minimal asset turnover are on expirings. It would be unprecedented for the Nets to trade him for garbage just because.
Given the current going rate of first rounders. A package based around Tyler Herro, Robinson, and some g leaguers would require like 10 first round picks.
It's most likely to be a three team deal with whomever getting Ayton and giving the Nets like two picks, so they'd get like 4 + swaps from the suns plus 2 from whoever gets Ayton. That's a shit load of picks
and considering james jones has like 4 ppl on his scout staff and gives zero fucks about the draft they'd send them all the picks possible

Not that he knows anything more than any of us, but Jamal Crawford was on the Mariners game and the announcer asked him his Kyrie/KD Predictions. Crawford said KD to Phoenix and Kyrie to Los Angeles, not specifying which LA team.

Oh fuck...that'll certainly erase the sting of losing Brunson. :|
Um how would the Mavs offer that with zero cap space? They can't even take a S&T without getting off of Powell's contract first.
This is the dude that has been talking about KD to the suns since the game 7 loss, although Mitchell can't be on the same team as Simmons so this is very odd
Legitimately got kinda emotional after reading Rudy's goodbye. I probably shouldn't get so attached to players.
They did and you hitched your wagon to a dude that doesn't want to play or capable of playing a full 82
By diehard Go To PostLegitimately got kinda emotional after reading Rudy's goodbye. I probably shouldn't get so attached to players.Nah. It's fine to care and get invested, and I honestly think it'd be weird if people didn't. I was a total mess when Kevin Garnett came back in 2015 and will be again whenever new ownership is finally able to make amends and retires #21.
The worst thing about this whole Nets fiasco is that everyone - from KD to Kyrie to Harden to Simmons to Nash to Atkinson to Marks - has been completely opaque about what's going on in the locker room.
We got a couple of vague stories about Harden being the adult in the room, and that's it. KD and Kyrie tweet only subliminals, Nash is a PR guy for Marks most nights. The team isn't even honest about injuries.
For all Rudy's faults at least we know what he thinks about his team's perimeter defense ffs

I’d only been watching for one month and I got real invested in Jarrett Allen
Allen, Brown, Harden, Durant. All gone. Lost, like tears in the rain.
