By Fenderputty Go To PostHe can funnel into Rudy. They’re definitely better, but that’s a lot of picks so I get the trepidation over riskkat ain't funneling shit
i didn't think ant respected gobert either tbh lol
By Fenderputty Go To PostOk that’s a lot of picks lolYeah, too many picks with too few protections.
Well there's a swerve. A lot easier to entice Brooklyn if you're armed with a bunch of picks from Minnesota.

Jazz should definitely trade Mitchell. I guess make an attempt at Ayton and then make calls to Miami.
Trade Mitchell for another haul. My feelings are hurt and i'd like to just start over completely.

So he can’t score on a guy he doesn’t fear lol 😂
I just don't think Gobert makes the Wolves that much better and the fit seems really awkward. Dude is really limited on offense and whatever defensive boost he provides won't matter come playoff when a good team forces him to the bench. And they traded four firsts for this.
I'm like genuinely appalled.

Mitchell/Bridges to Brooklyn
Ayton To Jazz
KD to PHX
handful of Minny picks to BK, pick swaps from PHX to BK and UT.
Someone tell me if this works or not.

So we're gonna be a lottery team only for Mitchell to demand a trade next offseason? why not just trade him now and get more value?
By Not Go To PostDid someone say they were looking for a tool to put around Donovan Mitchell?
Not looking good
By masud Go To Postlmao
By rodeoclown Go To PostThis is horrendous.Ay yo
By masud Go To PostSo… shouldn't the Hawks have traded for Gobert instead of Murray?they needed another ball handler and perimeter defender over a marginal improvement over capela
I know KAT can shoot but isnt that some spacing issues there? Also primarly ball handler is Dlo or is ant a point forward
By reilo Go To PostYo Gobert is 30? Rodeo whyI think that the rationale is that his game will age well and this gives them a four year-ish window to actually contend.
Having had time to digest it, I do think it's more fair than my initial reaction. The Wolves didn't really give up many players of value. While I like Beverley, he's also 34 and his contract is up after next year. Bolmaro, Vanderbilt, Beasley, who really cares. They'll make up the Beasley minutes with Nowell and Moore.
As far as the picks go, it's likely the picks in 23 and 25 aren't very good. The biggest value propositions here for Utah are the 27 and 29 picks, which I guess is the risk that you have to take when you're the Wolves and you only has like 10 playoff appearances ever, and only two since Kevin Garnett won MVP.
With respect to the fit issues, well, I think that Finch can mostly figure it out because he mostly figured out having Vando and Towns together, but the biggest obstacle to their success is going to be the backcourt construction. I think it's going to be really hard to construct a real contender that has DLo playing a significant role, but that's an issue for another day, I suppose.

He only gets played off the floor in the playoffs when no teammates on the perimeter can even slow guys down on defense and his teammates ignore him for open lobs on offense.
By Kibner Go To PostHe can finish lobs from KAT and Edward's double-teams and the occasional D'Lo PnR when those guys are spacing.Yeah, after some reflection, I do think he'll fit in pretty well. The attention that Edwards and Towns each command will open him open him for the same easy looks that Vando got, except he should be able to actually finish. Both of those guys are good passers, too.

Russell/Edwards/Towns/Gobert with the ability to mix and match with Nowell, Prince, or McDaniels starting. Then they have whoever they don't start of that bunch with McLaughlin, Slo Mo, Reid and Moore off the bench.
I guess the Wolves are probably pretty good, huh.

Things are still up in the air, but they should be in the glut of the Tier 2 teams in that conference. Them, Pels, Mavs, Grizz. T1 is probably going to be Suns, Warriors, Nuggets, and Clippers. T3 is likely Lakers and Blazers.

giving up a first round pick to acquire Royce O'Neal and pay him more than Bruce Brown is absolutely wild
