By unknown Go To Postknicks are desperate, all that money for an average pg.
Get down or lay down!
(sorry we didn't get your boy little mountain)
Who would the Knicks even trade for Murray? It's a highly unprobable scenario, but just curious. Randle and some scrubs?

By masud Go To PostIt's not about Luka, I'm telling yall it was the extension. I think the bigger story is how the Mavs have fucked up Lukas early career. Just look at their cap sheet…People turn down the Knicks bag alllllll the time 😂
I think he just wanted to have a bigger role. I dunno about people not wanting to play with Luka. People just don't want to play in Dallas lol
By joefu Go To PostI think he just wanted to have a bigger role. I dunno about people not wanting to play with Luka. People just don't want to play in Dallas lolI feel like the simplest explanation is that he wanted more money than Dallas could offer.
By diehard Go To PostI feel like the simplest explanation is that he wanted more money than Dallas could offer. It's 100% this. This is the 3rd time Cuban has lost his team's 2nd-best player in free agency due to an insulting lowball offer. I really doubt guys like Bullock, DFS, and Kleber are thinking "Damn I could do so much more without Luka holding me back."
It was the extension, his father said said he was pissed about it. Could also be Cuban not wanting to pay an astronomical tax bill.
By DY_nasty Go To PostPeople turn down the Knicks bag alllllll the time 😂Huh? What does that have to do with the Knicks? Smh...

who is still in on ayton?
brooklyn is not happening and neither is detroit.
spurs look like they go all in on the victor tank.
pacers maybe? portland?

Portland and Hawks make sense.
Maybe the Hornets, too
There were rumors of a Sabonis swap with Ayton at the deadline so the Pacers are prolly interested, but not sure if anyone left is willing to max him

Hopefully it will be a crazy off season
didn't even know brunson is about to turn 26. thought he was closer to luka's age.
4 years will take him to 30.

Seems ok me..
The question is can he do that without Luka on the court. He's not getting the same looks with Randle and co. Still probably not much else the Knicks can do
lol
lol
Wolves re-signed Taurean Prince for two years, $16m. Second year isn't guaranteed, though it still seems like a lot for a guy they couldn't play in a playoff series.
Still waiting on that DLo trade.

Everyone acting like we're bringing in Brunson to be the franchise player. We brought in a point guard better than most of the options out there. Brunson at 25 mil is better than trading for Brogdon at 21 mil, trading for DLo at 29 mil. Eric Bledsoe is making 17 mil. Point guards aren't cheap anymore.
Is he gonna put up 25/11 and bring us to the 2 seed? No. But finally masud and I won't have to watch Randle fail to post up every defender and then force a stupid shot, praying he gets bailed out with a foul. RJ doesn't have to get frozen out of games while Randle tries to run some 2 man game with Fournier. Our season doesn't depend on 34 year old injury prone Derrick Rose.
The worst thing about signing Brunson is that we're out of the Victor sweepstakes unless him and RJ get season ending injuries.

Its a huge need, but still a huge gamble.
My worry about the Brunson signing is that he's going to be terribly misused by Thibs. His offense is just so archaic and the only point guard he's ever trusted is Derrick Rose.
By knux-future Go To PostBrogdon has the body of a 38 year oldSo he's Thibs Approved™ already

By rodeoclown Go To PostTrading Monte before Murray plays a minute seems way to risky, and while I like Bones he still a 2nd year player.
Barton needed to go.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostMakes sense for the Wiz. Don't understand it for Denver.Seems like it's mostly a way to cut salary for Denver. Puts them under the tax because their owner is cheap.

By reilo Go To PostThat MPJ contractLook, they just had to sign him before he hit the market.
Saw it pointed out that Denver's trade of JaMychal Green for no. 30 plus this moves today gets them just under the tax line. This only a few weeks after their GM left to take the Wolves job for money reasons.
By rodeoclown Go To PostLook, they just had to sign him before he hit the market. It does open up the full MLE for them, so that kinda matters if they're willing to go over the cap with it.

Wiz making the playoffs next year. Knicks getting that pick. Detroit's pick conveying the year after that.

Yeah, I get it. That one's kind of a Rorschach test depending on how good you think Shaedon is going to be. Josh Hart and Nassir Little are both pretty damn valuable bench pieces too so this one's tough for me.
Guess we'll see in a year or two if they made the right move. Still need to fix the too damn many guards problem but hey, at least Shaedon is 6'6"
My feeling is yeah, too much.
Cap might be 134 next season.
After seeing all the consternation about Brunson's potential contract alot of fans need to recalibrate their the monetary values they assign to players.
The Knicks can't pay Brunson 25 million dollars that's first option multiple time all star level money!
No, it's really not.
Edit:
Nevermind. Bad reporting.
