By unknown Go To PostCam has good potential, it would be stupid to trade him. Thibs should be fired and quit the desperation for an average pg.
He has tools but he's low energy, low IQ and thinks he's better than he is. If he could limit his game to the stuff he's good at (and you know try harder) he'd be a nice role player but I'm not confident in that. It's awesome that other GMs still think they can fix him though.
Are you anticipating getting anything in return for Cam? I'd be shocked if you get anything more than a second.
His value was already getting low with Atlanta but the Knicks tanked it by not even giving him run and letting him put up Let that Bitch Fly buckets cause Thibs was so concerned with making the playin.

i actually feel bad for quickley now too. he ain't a pg, i knew that, but he can't even get his boobie gibson on either because that offense will never generate open looks on a regular basis as is
Trading a first for Cam, then trading him in a deal to create caproom is the move a shitty GM would make after they used all their caproom the previous summer on a bunch of garbage.

I already forgot they traded a lottery pick to clear caproom lol
They traded Denvers 23 first for Milwaukee's 25 first in the Kemba deal, they did not trade a first to move Kemba. The also got 3 firsts for that lottery pick as well so to say they traded a lottery pick for cap space in not really true.
By reilo Go To PostAre you anticipating getting anything in return for Cam? I'd be shocked if you get anything more than a second.I think slightly more than a second with how the leage is obsessed with versitile wings. Maybe a bad first of the ability to combine him with a negative contract like Noel and still get a 2nd.

Ok? End of the day they traded the 11th pick for three protected firsts and 13 million dollars in cap space. It's pretty neutral from a value stand point no matter how you try to frame it.

You mean, staying in Brooklyn for another year?
Dame’s obviously just taking the piss here but hey, fun to dream about an instant contender like that.

Beal opting out and going for that 5 year super max

Does anyone other than Detroit have the space to sign him to a max? It looks like a few others might if they could find a salary dump

Memphis could if they really wanted to

Whatever mangs. Kyrie can either show playing and winning is more important to him than money whether he stays OR goes, or he can pull for the max despite not turning up to work most the time.
Despite his best efforts, Irving has virtually no leverage in this situation, and that includes his relationship with Durant. The best short-term option is for Irving to be on this team, because Brooklyn has never really gotten a chance to see how far it could go with a healthy Durant, Irving and a third star — in this case, Ben Simmons. It’s a big “if,” but if neither Irving nor Durant suffers a serious injury throughout the season and both are healthy for the playoffs, the Nets would have a chance to win a championship. They have multiple trade exceptions to work with this summer — one for $11.4 million expires July 6 and another for $11.3 million is good until just about the February trade deadline. They could build around Durant and Irving and, if he decides he wants to play, Simmons, with Joe Harris still on the team.
There are two ways Irving is still on this team next season: Either he picks up his option or he signs a new multi-year contract with Brooklyn that is shorter than what he’s seeking. If Irving doesn’t want to do that, the Nets are under no obligation — none — to trade him where he wants to go. If he really wants to play with LeBron again and move to L.A., go for the midlevel. Prove basketball and winning are the main things. It is probably the only thing Irving could do to save his reputation after four solid years of destroying it.

On the other hand, no one wants to give up assets for 2022 Kyrie, and the Nets are probably not trading him to the Lakers for anyone short of AD.
So his options would be what, opt out, sign with ORL/SA/POR if they would have him, then force a trade in a year?
