By Kibner Go To PostHe's a selfish player with an over-inflated ego about his abilities. Annoying to play/work with and not good enough to even bring you to the post-season.I mean, you can't expect every guy to go from Harden/winning expectations/fresh signing to playing with bums and rookies in just a few months with model teammate values shining through.
Houston probably works to trade him sooner if they had better draft picks coming back their way
The Blazers definitely need all the Lu Dort/Josh Hart types they can get their hands on like any team, but they also, you know, need a starting PF and decent bench PF first. A starting SF would also be higher priority I'd imagine, although Nassir Little could fill that spot depending.
Nassir Little is so much better than Moe Harkless that it's not even funny. If he could stay healthy I'd like him a lot- always 100% effort on both ends, good vibes guy. Decent defender, just needs to figure out how to shoot 3s off the dribble and he's a solid starter. But that health though - and it's frustrating because it's always random ass snakebit stuff like a bad case of COVID or getting dehydrated and passing out somehow. At least this year it's a torn labrum on his left arm - I'll take that.
Moe Harkless couldn't shoot, couldn't dribble and had incredibly inconsistent effort way too damn often. Alright cutter and not half bad defender when he wanted to be, fine for a bench dude.

By DY_nasty Go To Posti don't know how yal live through the moe harkless experience and tolerate nassir littleIf Nassir Little is Portland's starting SF then there's problems. I tolerate him off the bench. He's also on a rookie scale contract so the expectations are different.
And I've been begging for a a good Wing/PF combo since LMA and Batum left. Olshey fucked the pooch every season.
Also, Lu isn't the play here, I'd be mad if that was the move. He's a guard, Portland needs dudes 6'6+.

Unless you're moving Josh Hart for a forward it makes 0 sense to me. Like 12 and Josh Hart for OG Anunoby or John Collins.
Why are people trying to make it sound like the trade for Wood was bad lol. The Mavs gave up NOTHING lmao. the 26th pick (with the Mavs drafting history...) was not going to contribute anything.
The Wizards were writing hit pieces about Dinwiddie, but once he got to the Mavs, he was anything but what people were saying lol

It's more just pushing back against some saying how Wood is the answer to a deep playoff run or being a contender or that the Rockets got fleeced. He's a decent player that gives the Mavs some of what they need and wasn't a difference maker on a bad Rockets team.

I mean the return for what they gave up was astronomical, what piece could they get that solves everything with the stuff they gave up? There is no player out there that you can get for peanuts

Both teams did well.
Wood may be a malcontent but he's gonna play off Luka better than Porzingis cause he actually will roll to the rim, so that'll keep him happy.

The Mavs got a helpful player for them and the Rockets didn't get fleeced because, hell, it's 1 year left on the contract of a non-star they would never re-sign.
They definitely fleeced themselves if anything and they've been forced to sell low for the past few years consistently.
Even before getting THE Victor Oladipo for Harden, they'd been shuffling backwards for a while.

He's still a huge upgrade. The dude will grab more rebounds in a half than dwight powell will grab in 1 series.
The dude may have been malcontent, but like Dy said, he went from joining Harden/hopes of winning to becoming the lead player for the worst team in the league lol. I think most people would be pissed.
The Rockets literally got a pick that has a high probability to be packaged with one of their others to move up further in the draft, for a guy that was going to be gone anyways because of Sengun and the incoming pick. Him on the team or off doesn’t really impact the Rockets, they’re still bad.
How is that fleeced 🤔
What should they have gotten back for THE Christian Wood

yal didn't even play sengun over theis because he was the only big on that roster that felt like setting babies-first-screen for those guards. fire and free silas already lmao
should've traded him last year instead of acting like he was down for the rebuild - because that wasn't what he was signed for but idk

Celtics did well enough for having no bench. They need a reliable sixth man scorer.
Will be interesting to see how many minutes Moody/Kuminga/Wiseman are averaging next season.

They had comical penetration from the perimeter. Boston wouldn't be wrong to give Sexton a shot.

The other jerseys leaked months ago and nobody liked them. Mind numbing decision from an owner of a company that makes survey software.
Jerseys ugly as fuck
They should go ahead and bin them and try again before the season starts. Just eat the sunk cost

When you can put an image of the guy that prevented your only chance of winning a championship on your jersey you just gotta do it
