By reilo Go To PostWhat Dallas was missing was more offense and a dude that wants to ballhogThey needed a lot more than Bertans, Kleber, and Powell could give on either end of the court.
Depends on what else they had to give up or take on but no way its a bad addition inside.

Not a great defender either. Probably worth a shot given what they gave up for him.
Yeah given what they have it's an upgrade. Don't think it gets them much further than WCF but it's an improvement.
Dallas owes the Knicks a top-10 protected first round pick next season. They're a bit leveraged out atm, so I do get the trade from their end. Just not sure it moves the needle.
There's no way that was the best offer for Wood this year

If there was a better off they'd take it. I think Wood is probably overvalued and he's gonna be a UFA. No way other teams didn't think he was available.

Just a bad overall play from Houston.
They made the WCF with a rotation of Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber, this a win for Dallas no matter what.
Ehhh the Rockets dropped a headcase, cleared time for Paolo (assuming here) and got the 26th pick. Kinda makes sense to me tbh.

smh how do you have Wall ahead of him? At least Wall wanted to play
Wood played eight minutes during the first half, going scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting. He was late to pregame warmups and came off the bench to start the game, but he informed coaches at halftime that he had no desire to play in the second half, sources said.

I don't know🤷🏾♂️

How did I not remember any of this. I just remember Wood being a clown this season
Bad trade for Houston? Y’all wildin . The Sengun era is here.
Wood is a headcase can’t wait for him to start talking to the media once he’s not getting touches from Luka
They got an extra 1st round pick, and next year is about to be all timer when it comes to tanking who cares about 3 nobodys

i don't think it's bad for the Rockets but excellent for the Mavs.
got rid of guys that didn't play in the playoffs and got a better C back that they could've hoped for given their cap situation and it only cost a late first round pick they didn't have a use for anyway.

Rockets have 3 first round picks now and those bodies they got are all expiring . They have zero interest in winning next year with that class coming up. Let all these youngry players develop in the meantime.
This draft isn't deep enough for that 26th pick to mean anything. If they wanted picks in next year's draft, then they should've traded for some lol

It's worth the gamble for Dallas, but I think Wood is fools gold. Most games he's played is 68 (this year) for a tanking team. I don't think you can rely on him for a deep post season run, but at least Dallas can cut bait if he's unreliable since he's a free agent after next season.

It’s a flyer. You never know. Or package it for another trade if they want to. CWood was going to get moved it was obvious. If anything they waited too long, but getting expirings and a pick back is better than getting a seasoned player that would be wasting his and the team’s time on this roster just like Wood was.
Wall will be an expiring next year and Eric Gordon only had 2 years left, but would be perfect on @Kibners current squad.
Takes a while to undo the fukkery Morey left.

I don't get this need for expirings either when moving Gordon or Wall frees up far more. This is cope. And I love Silas, but giving any player under him grief for their defense is crazy
Doing a draft cram session and my first observation is I’m surprised Paolo isn’t a lock for the first pick after watching him Jabari and Chet
Paolo's highlights are crazy. Its the rest of the game where he doesn't know how to fit in that's the problem.
You never have to go looking for Chet and Jabari

True. I like to think you can coach that out of Paolo though. K just rolled the ball out there this year
By Old King Rob Go To PostWood can’t be that bad lolHe's a selfish player with an over-inflated ego about his abilities. Annoying to play/work with and not good enough to even bring you to the post-season.
Making him sound like Crittenton

There are a few guys who turn it around, but when people talk about them, it is always in surprise that they did so.
