That's a pretty huge W for the Blazers if it happens, certainly a HUGE step up from a very disinterested person who inherited them.
By Kibner Go To PostOkay okay
lmao I'm still thinking about John Clownzano talking about Lauren Powell-Jobs and MacKenzie Scott looking to buy. That guy is so dumb.
lolllll people out there complaining about "Nike is a league sponsor how are we going to police that Phil Knight isn't circumventing the CBA by giving preferred sneaker dealers" I'm dying and all for it
By masud Go To PostOh that? He's a New Yorker I'm sure he would love to play for the Knicks, doesn't mean they want him.Rick was Rose's first client and he was Jalen's agent. People say he is Jalen's godfather... so if they swing and miss on this😂
Nothing to see here…
And Jalens current agent is... Roses son. The Knicks are over the cap though so they would need to dump salary or get the Mavs to play ball on a sign and trade.

yeah, I think it makes sense. Dude is nice in transition and looks like he has NBA range. I think it's good pick for them.
By Old King Rob Go To PostI don't like that take, at all. The schedule is downright abuse to athletes' bodies.
By DY_nasty Go To Posthire a coach mitch you fuckin cowardI saw some talk about Atkinson being in the lead.

By masud Go To PostThey're still vetting Mark Jackson. There's… a lot of shit to review.I feel like MJ will never hire a player he played against to be a HC 🤷🏾♂️
If Mark Jackson was serious about being a head coach again, why hasn’t he been sitting on someone’s bench all these years?
Does he think that is beneath him and he should just walk into a top job?
Does he think that is beneath him and he should just walk into a top job?
I still don’t think he actually wants a job. He’s on that JVG plan of interviewing just so he has something to go back to ESPN with when he wants a raise
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostIf Mark Jackson was serious about being a head coach again, why hasn’t he been sitting on someone’s bench all these years?I mean ... Kidd was basically the Lakers head coach as the stars were concerned and didn't get the gig because of his domestic problems with his ex.

ast coaches don't make a lot and he was a head coach being on a staff won't do a lot for him

Didn’t expect to see a random Dame sighting at the boxing in Australia.
Well if Jackson would rather get big bucks commentating until he gets a coaching job then fair play to him. Just wished ESPN talking heads would stop saying how scandalous it is that he hadn’t got a coaching job.
I think it was Reilo who said that he must suck at interviews. Probably true.

Nonsense. Most of today's injuries seem to be from players overexerting themselves for posters (i.e. Ja Morant) and blowing their knees out early, or freak accidents and poor landings. When the game was a little slower, injuries did not plague the league as much as they do today. You've got a large chunk of superstars getting injured just weeks into a fresh season.
RJ is right, the league has done a lot for this crop of players already. If I were to add anything else, I'd move the ASB closer to the middle of the season, in addition to extend the schedule a few weeks in order to spread the games out a bit more.
No, he's wrong. The human body can't recover to what it needs to when the day off between games is spent flying and traveling and settling in.
And the injuries are more often related to the kind of defense being played more that involves more fast starts and stops along with more constant movement. Flying and getting to a hotel and packing and unpacking is not conducive to recovery.
Also, I'd like to see proof of more early season injuries than in previous decades. Because I can point to studies about the recovery, if you'd like.

By n8 dogg Go To Post82 games including back to backs is a genuinely insane schedule. The back-to-backs by themselves are ridiculous, but then there's lots of instances of things like four games in five days. They definitely don't do nearly enough to protects the players' bodies and keep them fresh.

In football, Liverpool literally just went as close as anyone ever has to winning all four trophies on offer, with a squad of about 20-22 players, in a season that ran 63 games from August to late May and were absolutely spent. It’s no wonder leaning on 8-10 guys to get you through 82 games in a shorter season leads to so many injuries, even allowing for the differences in the sports.
For me it’s not even a health thing..there’s just no way I’m watching 82 games. Knicks could go 82-0 and I’m still not interested in watching every single game. Half of these games aren’t even meaningful
It’ll never happen though because that means less money and this is a capitalists society. We only interested in adding more games
