By Not Go To PostWas The Last Dance a big hit overseas too? That matchup makes sense
EDIT: or also I guess, the people who remember the early 90s too lol
The Bulls were huuuuge in the 90s. First and only time people cared about Basketball in many places here.
I’d pay Trae. He has some bad games but that’s because his best big injures himself while being dirty, and no one can score on their own. He’s also 75lbs so it’s impressive he can even play in the NBA
He’s worth the money more than Booker or KAT. Booker went out sad and KAT is too scared to use his size.

It's really dumb that All-Star spots and All-NBA teams are still based on positions when that's 90% irrelevant now

Yep, I think it's far easier to build a team around him than Booker or KAT. Not sure why they're not trying to follow the Warriors lead and surround him with switchable wings who can defend instead of overspending on garbage bigs

$2mill to beat up on kids at Kentucky, not bad
Tshiebwe will make upwards of $2 million this upcoming season. Dickinson and Bacot will do well too. The financial upside is only trending up — until and unless the NCAA figures out a way to make its own rules.
That salary would far exceed what Tshiebwe could make in the NBA next season. This season, the 30th pick in the draft made $1.99 million. Second-round picks do not get guaranteed contracts and teams can squeeze them for player-unfriendly deals. They might also land a two-way deal, which paid $462,629 this season but is also not guaranteed.

Is Las Vegas really that big of a market? In 5 years time they will have went from 0 teams to one in every major NA league besides MLB.

But NFL and NBA have been talking vegas for like 30 years now
By Branduil Go To PostHopefully Memphis instead
Minny gotta move to the East, right? And the return of the classic 4 divisions.

Yes. I work in the digital marketing industry, and the Las Vegas-Henderson DMA has grown immensely in the past decade.
If Seattle gets their team, I think they get their history pre-OKC back, so we can stop seeing dumb fucking articles of how well the Thunder have done drafting🖕🏻
Congrats ace. Also ever seen any part of Vegas that's not on the strip? It's an ugly shithole. There has to be a better option...
Do we expect them to still be called the Sonics or go with a different name?
I hope they keep the same colors

By masud Go To PostCongrats ace. Also ever seen any part of Vegas that's not on the strip? It's an ugly shithole. There has to be a better option…The NBA only cares about gate receipts and TV revenue. This isn't about building a loyal fanbase, it's about exploiting a tourist hotspot.

Las Vegas Royals I feel makes sense
Poker iirc is the most popular in casinos and a royal flush is the best hand
Idk if it matters that a baseball team already goes by the royals but then Kansas City should have to choose something else

By DY_nasty Go To PostHopefully Memphis insteadI doubt it. They should probably redo everything about conferences and divisions but they won’t. Moving the wolves is probably the easiest for the league since the teams in the central division are closer than their current division. Memphis (and NOLA) is just as close to the the Texas teams and okc as they are to the southeast teams.
Minnesota is another contender to move to the East. They probably have a stronger argument than both Memphis and NOLA, tbh.
By Kibner Go To PostHigh RollersThat's good
edit: Minneapolis is further west than Memphis and New Orleans which are kind of in a straight line. Both those cities should be in the eastern Conference honestly, anything to the east of St. Louis is not the 'west' historically.
Nets between a rock and a hard place. If they don’t sing Kyrie, KD leaves.
Speaking as a fan of a football club with a bunch of entitled whiny cunts who think they’re more important than the team, fuck them. Let KD leave. All I need is Bruce and Joey Buckets.

By DY_nasty Go To Posti don't even know where kyrie and KD go lmao
KD to Seattle in a year. Kyrie to rehab.
Ziaire on an all rookie team vote is whatever he started a lot of the season for the team with a second best record often having to guard the best player on the other team. I wouldn’t have put him over Herb Jones though. Desmond Bane being on an all nba team or all defense is a bigger wtf
3 years with a team option seems about right for Kyrie, he and Harden can't seriously be expecting 5 year Supermaxes when they haven't been consistently good/healthy in a minute.

It’s ridiculous. He’s completely unreliable.

Those familiar with the details of the Paul G. Allen Trust tell me there isn’t a lot of wiggle room for trustee, Jody Allen. The trust was established in 1993 and includes billions in assets, including the NBA’s Trail Blazers and NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.
“Paul directed that the trust be liquidated upon his death and the assets used to fund his passion projects,” a source said. “None of this is up in the air. The instructions are clear: The sports franchises and everything in the trust must be sold.”
A number of potential ownership groups have been rumored to be interested in pursuing the Trail Blazers. Among the names that I have heard as possible majority owners: Oracle Corporation co-founder Larry Ellison, philanthropist MacKenzie Scott and Laurene Powell-Jobs. Ellison has unsuccessfully attempted to buy NBA teams on three occasions. Scott is the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Powell-Jobs, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is an executive and businesswoman.

By blackace Go To PostLas Vegas FlushIt's been known. She wants to sell, too, that's billies. They're just waiting for the new TV deal.

Those names sound off, though. No thanks to Larry Ellison, the Portland fanbase would revolt against his Trump-loving ass. Jobs' widow is hyper secretive / borderline reclusive so I am surprised her name is even on there. Seems like old bald head Clownzano is just naming recognizable names.
I knew she wanted to sell, I didn't know the trust said she had to sell 🤷🏾♂️
Hopefully both teams end up with non-cheap owners
