Not a bad article, tbh. I disagree a bit with only a handful of the selections, but this rookie class was so good, it's hard to quibble. https://theathletic.com/3246365/2022/04/28/2021-nba-re-draft-cade-cunningham-scottie-barnes/

People keep mocking Ty Ty to us but I dont want any guards in this draft outside of Ivey. Give me Eason Sochan or Daniels (who's technically a guard but he's 6'8)

By reilo Go To PostMobley > Cade, ScottieIn the article text itself, he has all three of those in the same "tier". The "knock" on Mobley was not showing creation or jump-shooting ability.
Green was a distant fourth because the author believed that he didn't show any ability to be a two-way player like the guys above him.

I thought Jalen Suggs was gonna be legit, but he mostly looks like he's gonna be playing in Italy in a couple years. Bummer for Orlando.

I thought the show was gonna suck without Max, but SAS has been on fire recently.
I can’t wait till tomorrow.

As long as we still get our annual “Ainge was this close to acquiring this superstar” then that’s fine

Make sense. Come back to Portland, Marc.
Cronin and Billups have signaled that they are going to be FA recruiters in a complete reversal from Olshey's dumbass "we know no free agent will ever sign with us because Portland" stance the last decade. So hiring someone like Marc who is a Nike guy (and seemingly already a good FA recruiter) would signal that they'll go hard in that direction to bring talent in.

He says this now, but his tune may change if the extension offered isn't a full max with a player option. I dunno.

By Kibner Go To PostLmao at how hurt this dude sounds

Eversley coming back makes a ton of sense with what Portland is trying to do. Really just need to see what shakes loose in the draft - curious if they can pull out a decent team by fall. The really need 3 good forwards and they don't really have the draft capital to make it happen via trade, but if they can get at least one good one in FA the rest can probably at least be papered over.

Given how boring and rote every GM press conference is, I don't really care that Ainge isn't front of a bunch of microphones? He'll just lie and give a bunch of platitudes and then trade dudes a week later anyway.

Yes, but I'd feel way better about it had that Pelicans pick conveyed this year. As is, it's a 60-40, 70-30 chance things don't go as planned- although health notwithstanding the team is right back in mid 40s wins territory next year regardless at minimum.
By Kibner Go To PostIdfw Ainge but I respect it 😂
If you can get it in your paperwork why wouldn’t you
