Pellistri isn't getting a lot of game time at Alaves. Thought we would've tried to get him a better loan elsewhere.
By Laboured Go To PostI remember football, sure. What's that?
Rashford, Shaw, De Gea and Fred all have contracts which expire in 2023. We also have +1 year options on them so they essentially end in 2024. But we're going to have to start contract negotiations this season with them. Don't want to face another potential player exodus in a years time. Everything is a mess on the playing side of things.
Also, the Telegraph and the Times both doubt we'll make the 4/5 signings required to rebuild the team this summer. That's just stating the obvious, but it highlights how low expectations are at United these days. Other clubs if United's size and wealth would just go out and do it.

I like that at the start of this season our team was almost there bar a couple of additions and now we're doing a rebuild. Very good imo.
By bud Go To Postthoughts on antony?Very good but still very raw. Hopefully he develops even further at Ajax.
Tremendous left foot, great finisher and passer.
So much young talent from the middle of the park towards the last 3rd of the pitch that we don't have space for Martinelli. Yet. He'll be there soon.
By Laboured Go To PostI like that at the start of this season our team was almost there bar a couple of additions and now we're doing a rebuild. Very good imo.I agree that that was the case last summer. Sancho and Varane were excellent signings and a quality midfielder would have rounded the side off nicely. But things have become so poisonous that at least half a dozen players want to leave. In that instance you simply have to start again and rebuild.
I still don't know how things went off the rails so badly and so quickly though. I guess Solksjaer couldn't change his tactics to reflect our quality in attack. And the more we struggled, the less risk averse he became until the point where it became obvious that he only trusted his starting 11. That's when he lost the wider squad.
Things went off the rails because they spent almost 90 million euros on a low pace right winger that was a good fit for Guardiola, but not a good fit for Ole.
Could’ve brought in a new midfield with that cash. It is what it is, everybody wanted Sancho, well there you have it.

Everything went to shit at the same time and our best performers from last season, Maguire, Shaw, Bruno etc all struggled massively. In such circumstances it's no wonder a new signing would find it hard to adapt.

It’s not Sancho the player, it’s the money that was spent on him that should’ve been spent on more pressing matters.
Going into this season with exactly the same midfield as last season was insanely hopeful. It was the biggest problem the squad had.

He’s a wide playmaker that likes to cut in and play short. He’s not low pace but he has a hard time outpacing defenders…
Greenwood was starting to rock at the end of last season on the right wing exactly because he had the pace and the shot in him.
Bruno in that 10 position could pick a killer ball left or right knowing there was pace there.
Sancho just wants the ball played to his feet, and short passes build up. That’s why I say he would fit City. How’s he any different than a Jack Grealish type?

Grealish was great for Villa who were not playing Pep-ball either.
It's obvious to me Sancho could be very successful but has had a horrible year in terms of settling and finding form. Incidentally, I've also been thinking this season about how many of the England players that played in that Euro final have had good a season...

Sure, I’m just putting my FM pants on. For a Ole style team, we needed a RB that could cross a ball and pass, a holding midfielder, a striker, and a CB. Somehow a RW was seen as the primary target, and I didn’t agree with it.
To be fair, with the Greenwood situation, RW would’ve become a problem anyway…
Incredible how Raith Rovers board of management has effectively destroyed the club in the space of a few days
Two directors resigned in protest. Their main sponsor and woman who has a stand named after her has also withdrawn funding. Their women's captain and now womens team in its entirety have left the club. And Scotland's First Minister has also criticised the signing of Goodwillie.

By Vini.lad Go To PostAll 4 goals from us yesterday were fucking world class. He looked incredible, what a player. This Brazil team is shaping up to be something special.
Raphinha is the next big thing.
Marquinhos probably the best cb in the world imo.
Bruno GuimarĂŁes will save Newcastle.
Aston Villa will buy Coutinho.
I was watching compilations of Luis Diaz last night and his dribbling seriously reminded me of Suarez in his Liverpool days. Looks to have the knack of getting out of tight spaces.
Afternoon, lads. Looks like the end of Raith Rovers is nigh.

Yeah it really is, I mean I don't want to be hyperbolic but I think they might have the best CM in the world in GuimarĂŁes too.

Don't fret mate you'll be able to get him at a cut price in the summer, we'll also have handled the initial adaption to the league. It's perfect!

Some utterly depraved shit going on in football right now. Or rather, it's probably always been there, but more women are coming forward.
