High accuracy.
Lord Sporar continues his career on the FA Cup.
It's not for the penalty but I never understood why United fans hype Elanga so much, never saw anything special from him.

McTominay and Ronaldo are just not good enough. The former was supposed to play as the sole deeper lying midfielder, but constantly hid behind Middlesbroughs midfield so he couldn't receive a pass. The latter is just a decrepit husk.
Sporting's former president on Big Brother VIP.
Guy has been there for a month and already says he loves that woman more than he ever loved the mother of his daughters.
There's still a vocal group of Sporting fans who want him as our president instead of the current one despite the club being currently stronger than we've been for the past 20 years.

I understood - and still understand - the rationale bringing Rangnick in. Making no signings in January was criminal though. Backwards club who still make decisions like they used to 25 years ago. No sense of modernising whatsoever.

He is going to be the perfect DM for you. 3 out of the 4 players Sporting sold to United have been pretty good, the odds are great.
just saw the blalant handball and lol refs
still, united got one of the most expensive squads in the world and cant even score 2 against Middlesbrough

Told the player he can leave and club went over his head to keep him (against the player’s will). In theory, I get the appointment, but they haven’t backed him n8.

That's the great thing, they are going to continue on this forever, cause there's no proper director of football, and the manager doesnt get to decide shit.
By Andrew Go To PostThink the nail on the coffin was the Lingard situation.Rangnick is no more a puppet than any other manager we've had in the last 8 years. He's just the latest victim of a Board of Management that refuses to listen. The Glazers have done this to every manager since Ferguson retired. They failed to get the preferred targets for Moyes, LVG and Mourinho. Solksjaer was a break in tradition but he was willing to play along with their ineptitude in other areas.

But remember that at times during their reigns, Mourinho wanted rid of Pogba and Martial but the Glazers refused to sell. Solksjaer wanted rid of Martial too in the beginning but was refused.

Well you’d think Ragnick would move up to DoF, where he’d likely have a very positive impact.
At least that’s what I thought last month, the Lingard situation reflects very poorly on him imo and well…he might blow any chance he has to stay on behind the scenes anyway if they continue to fuck up….
I don't get why United would appoint a guy to be behind the scenes but first allow him 6 months to be front and center to make him piss off the entire team
I defo trust Rangnick over Lingard. His honesty has been very refreshing.
I also understand why they kept Lingard given the Greenwood situation. Should have sold him in August, but that’s neither here nor there.

While the board definitely doesn't help, United's pick of managers has been pretty terrible since Ferguson and they are on their way to make the same mistake if they go for Poch.

I trust he told Lingard he could leave in the morning of deadline day though. Which obviously was blocked. Doesn’t bode well for his influence behind the scenes…
And I agree, as soon as that Greenwood story broke I didn’t think there was a chance you’d let him go…..so why did he tell him he could leave on the Monday?!

He was happy for him to leave and overruled by his board of directors. It happens quite often at United.

Yeah we lost to Middlesbrough with that lineup because Lingaard stayed at home. Sure buddy.

According to RI there is a coterie of players regularly leaking stories to the press about discontent in the United dressing room which in turn drives up actual discontent. They haven't been able to nail down entirely who the players are, but the educated guess is Lingard, Henderson and maybe Bailly.

I do. He wants to be a DoF, he can't be telling players they can leave if the board has no intention of letting them leave. He has to be working in sync with them.
There's also the fact he was obviously happy to let him go, but couldn't get the board to agree. He's the face of United now, and the whole point of him being there is to be a more senior figure at the very top level...his board have forced him to keep an unhappy player. It reflects very fucking poorly on him to me. Not personally, but in terms of his status as a figure of influence that will be, in theory, working above the next manager.
The loss is damaging as it completely negates what was a decent performance. We had the control that Rangnick has looked for since he took over and our pressing was good. Sancho and Rashford looked sharp and worked hard in defence.
It's very damaging in the context of the week the club has just had. We needed some stability after the Greenwood arrest and to build on the two decent wins against West Ham and Brentford. Now there's every chance more toxicity and unrest builds up in the dressing room.
