By C4-621 Go To PostI try not to discuss US politics out of respect for Americans here, must be infuriating to read takes from outside lmaoI think discussing is a good way of learning. Please feel free to discuss, even if it is just asking questions. I'm sure you will get a variety of answers, too.
I've heard someone say US politics is all about feels. If they feel the economy is currently bad, vote out the current president. Good? OK lets run it back

By Fenderputty Go To PostShe's not wrong, LMFAO how badly does Biden hate her?bro
she was the main one running interference for him AND pulled the rug on him
and now none of its on her? she needs to be selling crypto not holding office
Ohhh no ... don't get me wrong, she's playing a game of revisionist history there. Hence the laughter and subsequent pondering about his feelings towards her. Wasn't clear ... sorry
By Patriotism Go To PostIs nancy mad she couldn't do her usual insider trading thingWhat are you even talking about, she made a killing on the "Biden drops out in late July" betting market.
Democrats need to chuck these olds already and let some fresh blood in, that was obvious a while back and especially 2016 and especially Biden's crap. But nah, they love and cling to power too.

That's genuinely astonishing. And until that disastrous debate they weren't going to push him out either.

The Biden internal polling story is totally plausible. The public polling we had him barely up in NJ and VA. It would've been a Reagan wipeout.
I feel like I've seen this sentiment ("I don't like Trump but the economy sucks so why not try Trumpism for a while and see if it works?") enough that it was probably a substantial driver of the popular vote shift.
And yeah the Biden polling showing him losing in NJ etc. seems completely plausible. Honestly it seemed plausible at the time we first heard about it, too, but doubly so after the election results.

I mean, something like 44% of voters thought that the Harris platform was too liberal in spite of her rightward shift on some issues like immigration. They're always going to say that Democrats are too liberal, so they should actually just run on those platforms sine a lot of the ideas are broadly popular.
