By Dr. Hannibal Lecter Go To PostAny union that wants to be taken seriously needs to do everything they can to protect jobs. Last I read I got the impression the hold up is less about the money and more about the automation.
50% of 0 isn’t all that appealing.
This is pretty much what I’ve read as well.
They have to know that their jobs won't exist in 10-15 years. I mean, it's over for this kind of work. Some young kid fresh out of school is going to be doing their jobs from a room making a fraction of their salaries, and if the corps gets their way, even less of their benefits.
And when Uber and Lyft and any other ride share step up and get on that Waymo tech, that's a wrap on that entire industry too. And that shit is going to happen quick.

Smart of him to delay the trial. There was speculation that him doing all this presidential immunity crap could result in an info dump before the election instead of during a trial over summer. But if media DGAF, it just means his delay makes it more likely he can just kill the investigation / pardon himself after he's elected.
i mean, clearly it won't hold up in court

News cycle will now focus on how bulk toilet paper retirns to Costco will be bad for kamal Harris

Why this undecided voter who once pledged (and still pledges) he would die before voting for anyone other than Donald Trump is bad for Kamala
Is there another country where things have to go through as many layers of red tape?
Feel like for anything to get done over there it has to pass through a shitload of tiers of governance, and can be blocked for months at a time by a single state representative on any part of the journey from the start of the process to the end.
I guess it protects against rushing through bad laws as a response to emotional zeitgeist. For instance I could see the death penalty coming back over here if it was put to a vote in the immediate wake of a terrorist attack. Plus it maybe impedes the country from fucking over individual states/regions.

This is the result of these things being attempted outside our f congress. Ideally we would be able to pass legislation and avoid all this. When Trump did / may do stuff via executive order, Dems will sue

laughs in Switzerland where every single thing has to be voted on by citizens and then put into law. Heck if i want to put a a grill on the balcony i have to get approval by 2 goverment agencies and every neighbour in a 5km radius can veto it.

So am I to assume from this moment on that you DO NOT in fact CONDEMN Hamas, horse?
Because those are the l.o.ls of someone who hasn't condemned Hamas.
