Americans vote on the idea that they want lower taxes on the rich because they believe they're about to make it into that income bracket. Trump actually raised taxes on lower earners but there's a large swath of the populace that doesn't believe they're in that group and convinced themselves they'll be rich some day.

Trump gave us peons a paltry lowering of the tax rate that's already expired. To the low information voter he lowered their taxes and they had money from stimmy checks. Inflation hadn't hit yet too.
Like his infrastructure has been great for the economy, but if one isn't directly impacted they won't see the benefits.
I also think from a cursory level, people see the GOP as pro business and therefore good for the economy.
But yes I do agree Dems needs to sell better.
The big difference I see is that the GOP brings their stuff up a dozen times every minute of every day while the Dems seem to do it a few times a week. The persistence is key. Keep repeating yourself to make others believe.

The 6 billion in savings is only from negotiating 10 drugs. Imagine if we negotiated them all. I'm reading the reason it didn't happen in 2023 is due to law suits from Big Pharma to try and stop it too.
