CBS nightly news is asking if Biden could be replaced as the nominee and making it sound like his team is at Defcon 1.

She was on Bill Maher Friday night spouting the exact same line about nuclear war being a bigger concern than climate change.
I think she's just a woman scorned because the party rejected her presidential run; her Hawaiian constituents caught on to her pandering to the Fox News crowd and dropped her, so she didn't run for reelection. Now she's just in full on grift mode because it's so easy.
She's clearly intelligent and very experienced given her age too. But there's this smirk about her now. Like she knows what she's saying is bullshit, and that she knows that we know she's on the take and not a serious person any longer.

She dropped hawaii before hawaii dropped her tbf. Like the guy running to replace her had to be convinced it was safe lol
And surprisingly its looking less bad since the DNC as a whole just imploded since that election. We can't even deal with incumbent progressives these days 😂
But she's obviously openly grifting at this point and honestly I kinda get it. The reason we're in this mess isn't because Biden is a zombie, but because we stuck fucking Kamala behind him as the safety valve and she's literally so horrible that her option cannot even be considered.

Seriously, any VP remotely better than Kamala behind Biden and this thing would've been completed. Hell Biden could've even dropped out and let whomever take over.
The fact he still believes he's the only one that can beat Trump is such a self-goal because he picked Kamala to begin with.

This shit is wild.
This shit is wild.
In more than 30 other instances, Caban upended cases in which department lawyers and the officers themselves had already agreed to disciplinary action — the most times a commissioner has done so in at least a decade.
In the second, the officer pleaded guilty to using a baton against Black Lives Matter protesters “without police necessity.” Caban threw out the agreement, which called for 15 vacation days to be forfeited. His office wrote that it wasn’t clear that the officer had actually hit the protesters, contrary to what the officer himself already admitted to in the plea.

I'm going to wait for more sources (before jumping to conclusions), but the way this statement was rolled out already cedes ground to conservatives and lowkey trades trans kids for political capital. Kinda threw them under the bus and dog whistled to the right.
Bare minimum, it takes a nuanced discussion of an opinion shared by the majority (including trans folks) and removes the fact that:
- It's rare when it happens
- There are absolutely cases where surgery should be done
- It puts intersex kids in the crosshairs
- Can be used to conflait a lot of different medical practices and terminology
- Sure af opens a direct line for discrimination
- etc...
It all depends on the verbage used, but I think it's a case where the damage is done, regardless of intent. That's the most charitable thing that I can say at this point, without further details cause...fucking hell.
At the literal end of pride too.

Just spoke to an Indian lady at work who has always voted Tory but can't bring herself to do so this election. She is thinking of voting reform because she believes the whole being a bunch of racists thing is a hoax. She won't vote labour in case Sadiq Khan is made prime minister. She hates him cause he put the price of trains up
Voting should not be a right.
By Laboured Go To PostIt is oft said the median voter is the dumbest motherfucker in existence. They should hold the single issue voters beer.
The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that former President Donald J. Trump is entitled to some level of immunity from prosecution, a decision that may effectively delay the trial of the case against him on charges of plotting to subvert the 2020 election.jesus fuck
The vote was 6 to 3, dividing along partisan lines.
Mr. Trump contended that he is entitled to absolute immunity from the charges, relying on a broad understanding of the separation of powers and a 1982 Supreme Court precedent that recognized such immunity in civil cases for actions taken by presidents within the “outer perimeter” of their official responsibilities. Lower courts rejected Mr. Trump’s claim, but the Supreme Court’s ruling may delay the case enough that Mr. Trump would be able to make it go away entirely if he prevails in November.
The Supreme Court on Monday gave companies more time to challenge many regulations, ruling that a six-year statute of limitations for filing lawsuits begins to run when a regulation first affects a company rather than when it is first issued.good grief
The case was one of several this term challenging the power of executive agencies, and the ruling could amplify the effect of a blockbuster decision last week overturning a foundational doctrine known as Chevron deference.
The vote was 6 to 3, along ideological lines.
By Laboured Go To PostThat immmunity decision is breath-taking. You're so fucked :lolIt's completely baffling.
They're basically using checks-and-balances to claim that... congress cannot prosecute the president? What?
