By Perfect Blue Go To PostHe’s “losing” in the sense of what westerners and people outside Russia are seeing and reading about the war but I doubt he cares about that. Everything he’s doing and saying is for a Russian audience and to manufacture consent around the war.
Is it working? Honestly it’s difficult to say, really. Once sanctions start clamping down and their economy gets more and more strained, we will see who Russians blame for their economy going to shit for a generation.
Western media is making it into Russia. This ain’t the 70’s
Don’t know if it’s working but he clearly hears the critiques of him being scared to sit next to people

By Patriotism Go To PostSweden going to catch a Turkish veto over their open diplomatic, financial and weaponry support for the pkk and ypg terror groupsI reckon they are doing it just to sleep with the enemy to finally be able to pin-point them for the Palme murder #4dchess
Pretty much got into a verbal fight with a friend of mine tonight who said things like "Putin has only sent scouts to the field, the real troops have yet to enter the field", "Volodymyr Zelenskyy is only saying things that Biden has authorized him to say" and "you only seeing news from the Ukrainian side, you aren't seeing the full picture".
By Pedja Go To Postanything for social media clout
By LFMartins86 Go To Post"you only seeing news from the Ukrainian side, you aren't seeing the full picture".that part of it is true though. i only ever see twitter posts linked here and twitter decidedly has the scales tipped in ukraine's favor.
EDIT: which is well within twitter's right to do so. It's a media company first and foremost and it knows how its bread is buttered.
By inky Go To Postgermania still gettting cold feet over gas/oil import restrictions?they're getting in touch with their inner big ballers and will weather (?) the storm.
By inky Go To Postgermania still gettting cold feet over gas/oil import restrictions?Delay until another pipeline can be established?
Energy independence is going to be such an important geopolitical check in the box, Nuclear investment is gonna make a huge come back too.
You guys would be shocked to find out how many nuclear plants China is building, it's an insane number - and with each plant built they're going to scale it so that costs come down drastically. Helps when "for the greater good" culture doesn't care about people, villages, forests, water sources, etc.
My sister-in-law was telling me earlier that customers at her shop keep asking about Ukraine and if her family is safe.
She's from the Czech Republic 🤡

good job engerlish
By Frustrated_me Go To PostDelay until another pipeline can be established? Not a new pipeline, but storage facilities (which they are already building), so you can use ships to fill them. Which will take time to build before you have enough, so countries depending on Russian oil/gas will need that for now. Full switch to independent green energy, even if all of Europe speeds everything up, is still 8/10 years away.

So unless things get so much worse and public opinion demands it, or Russia stop selling, it will not happen anytime soon.
Hopefully this gets Europe to invest more in greener energy and tech. Getting the price of air source heat pumps lower would be a big help.

probably just going to end up with more gas pipelines from other Eurasian states that completely bypass Russia.
