Despite significant opposition, the subcommittee approved the bill, with additional hearings set for this week. This scenario echoes similar situations in numerous states, indicating that no amount of public opposition or argument seems to dissuade legislators from enacting laws that target transgender individuals. However, for some attendees, their presence serves a crucial role. By confronting legislation that disregards scientific evidence and undermines human rights, they ensure these bills do not pass in darkness. Republican willingness to pass the bills in the face of binders full of evidence could prove important when they are later heard in court.
12 GOP governors are turning down federal money to feed kids. One of them saying they don't need it as there is an obesity epidemic. Like yeah cause they can't afford anything but shitty fast food.

Yea, it's that bad out here. Trans folks are literally getting loopholed out of running for office in Ohio. Indiana is floating an absolutely insane bill. Various states have upped the hostilities and are trying to pass similar. A lot of this shit is targeting everyone, regardless of age: doesn't matter if you had srs or not.
It's hard for trans people to even discuss this type of shit, because it sounds like we're being hyperbolic, and exaggerating reality.
Can't use harsh language. Can't even call the ethnic cleansing going on in Gaza what it is, and that's in your face violence and propaganda. GOP has been trying do the legal way of erasing trans folks, without the need to pick up a gun (just allow the nutjobs to do that for them), and not nearly enough of the right people have made noise about it. Can't even criticize these fuckass entertainers for spouting incessant hate speech. It's an election year, so you already know how it is trying to even suggest the Dems had any fault.
I just hope folks don't get to tired and keep pushing back against this evil shit.

It's quite obviously the only part of the job he actually enjoys. Just bloviating to a captive, fawning audience.

But the whole thing will just be tragic. South Africa are doing a honorable thing here and they are obviously right. But Israel will βwinβ on some stupid technicality and the ICJ will just feel like a scam.
EDIT: Scam is a wrong word, Iβm not really sure what to use. Powerless and not interested in the suffering of the Palestinian people.

probably because of the same reason they were on the frontlines in the first place, they want to die
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostBut why? Don't the Ukranians take prisoners? In person, maybe. But it ain't that kind of fight.
You can't really surrender to a drone or precision artillery fire.

After my comrades have blown their brains out I'm gonna give the white flag and surrendering to the drone a try just in case it works
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostAfter my comrades have blown their brains out I'm gonna give the white flag and surrendering to the drone a try just in case it worksYou're assuming you ever see or hear the drone in the first place.
I have it on good authority that the drone approaches, introduces itself, engages in small talk and once everyone has had a good laugh or two, they all agree to get down to the business of commencing hostilities.
there's a lot of unfortunate situations where surrender in the moment just plainly isn't possible
drone warfare just exponentially increases the likelihood of those scenarios. either way, modern trench warfare between conscripts and private military is a bad time like many expected.

It's mental how far we've come from the Syrian A-Team videos over a decade ago. in regards to how much of "modern" warfare you can see on socials.
The US and the UK bombing Yemen is surely a great strategic idea. I salute the geniuses that came up with sacrificing civilian lives in a country nobody can find on a map to secure the important transport of goods.

And it's like a dozen countries that aligned with the idea of not enabling that nonsense. Nobody made Yemen fuck around.
Of course. But two things:
I don't see how and why the starving people in one of the poorest countries in the world have to do with it. The similarities with Israel invading Gaza are striking.
And yeah, I'm sure it was Netherland's or Austria's idea to bomb Yemen. Just at it was Denmark's idea to invade Iraq.

If a country is leveraging long range drones, helicopters for long haul kidnapping/ransoms, and whole cruise missiles against civilian ships - should the staging areas of those platforms *not* get cratered? Just tough it out fellas?
And there's levels of involvement in that initiative that don't directly involve shutting down those capabilities. Spain, France, Sweden, and others literally have a direct obligation to protect their own people from what have been random attacks for weeks now. From direct escort, to marine ride alongs, to sending clear fuck off messages with a warhead, there's plenty of pick your own adventure to go around when Yemen was warned months ago what would happen.
Plus Yemen could literally give a fuck about their own people or even about identifying ships actually supporting Israel. The people who signed off on this looked their domestic situation dead in the face and said they wanted more problems. Let them own a dumb decision.
Thanks for elaborating. I don't agree, but I certainly understand your support for this better.
Just because a government doesn't care about it's people, shouldn't mean that we get a free card to bomb that same people. We know they have miserable conditions to live in, why add to it?
The thing that makes me annoyed and frustrated is the line in the countries' own statement that they are doing this to protect lives (questionable at best) AND to protect the free flow of commerce (ding ding ding!). Fuck that, don't bomb people because of commerce....
