EU hypocrisy at it again, the caucasity.
The blank check military aid is starting to get wild.
We all want Ukraine to succeed, but funding the war of attrition could take forever at this rate. Too much red tape to do what it takes to actually win regardless of how much money we throw at the problem.

Sadly, this does not surprise me....
Tbf this type of shit never stays conveniently contained to a far away place and out of the minds of irrational people looking for a reason to be violent

No doubt. I didn't even realize that "Jihad day" thing was actually something other than twitter shit. And with antisemitism being where it is, fair play to them.
Anti-brown people / anti-muslim sentiment about to be at 9/11 levels too.
I've seen so much misinformation (AI or otherwise), armchair generals, and "foreign affairs experts," on the socials, it's ridiculous. Knowing people affected on both sides of the fence, makes it even more infuriating / sad (not that it isn't without knowing them).
Lots of critical history lessons in the last few days for people who want to pay attention up to and including how systemic genocide and persecution can go on so long and seem more "civil" than wanton 'random' acts of violence/"terrorism".

Also really depends who speaks for you
I mean for a lot of people who never really delved into this much state side, even friends are like "uh can you give me a quicki 101". It's everywhere. Even with BLM I feel like some people were just out of it entirely during Trump years or understood some basics and a bunch of others still kind of in their own little bubbles even as protestors. The saturation of this plus explaining to people apartheid shit going on in present day has a bunch of minds just blown. Americans just kind of always unaware or in denial of our propaganda or what is reported and what isn't, even just disregarding how any of it is framed.
edit: I'm not saying it's new, I'm saying it's an example right this very second of how lives, events and shit can be juxtaposed and reported on different (or not at all really) depending on geopolitics.

Is it overly simplistic to think that if you wholeheartedly support Israel, you basically have no problem with essentially murdering civilians as long as it has a whiff of vengeance and a war on terror about it?
Good doc to pass around btw (very grim and very real awful footage including deaths of children though)
They do have a right to defend themselves, but they don't have the right to breach international humanitarian law.Genuinely surprised. Varadkar normally has a level of smarm and heartlessness that would make senior Tories blush.
By Dazenheimer Go To PostNeil Cuckmann showed his ass on twitter apparently and then deleted the tweet. The west bank born guy who wrote tlou to express the core central idea that extreme hate for the other is universal and wanted to mimic the gruesome violence to the endless depths he'd go to protect their own, the cycle of violence that gives rise to ultra-protected, fascist societies the power to rule be damned?
no way
By Punished Go To PostVery reluctant to give Varadkar any sort of praise. But yeah, he's one of the few leaders actually looking at this with a level head.

Being selfish, I don’t really mind. I’ll be starting a new non-federal job November 29th. If the government shuts down again when the CR is up, I’m just gonna go on vacation and still get paid.
Won’t be on time, and who knows if it’ll be another 50 day shutdown or whatever like last time

Yes, we've come full circle
Wahey I just saw my first dead baby and - you guessed it - it was a paid advert on Twitter by what seems like Israel’s official account.
ive just accepted the conflict is too complex for the average person to actually have a nuanced take on it because human beings always will trend towards a dichotomy no matter what, everyone on my social media feeds keep exposing their ass

I'd say that's a pretty mild response to photos of decapitated infants.

This shit all the way in Tustin CA which caused school systems to send out warning letters. Of course being in OC we also had some dude parading around the school with a nazi flag to add to the warning letter.
My kids are at home today as a result
