By reilo Go To PostIt's a bunch of illustrations my guy it takes 90 seconds to read it alla true friend would have summarized it for him.
I would say that I am the happiest I ever been in terms of friends now.
I got one close friend who I can tell anything to and he does the same. No problem is too small.
Really helps to open up about shit.
That friendship really has been a huge positive on my life.

I do have very close bredrins like maybe 2-3 on the regular that I will discuss personal development. We are all very open with our personal finances but we only rarely talk about relationship shit unless we are going through a break up. We are all very supportive with each other with regards to bigging up each others self confidence. It's all about positivity and even though they will share their doubts they are still positive about their progression. Being able to talk to those with wisdom/experience is a great asset.

NY Jamaicans are bad because of danger factor
Most of this team are Jamaicans, and the first clip is of a pretty famous street racer from NYC, he has a 8-9 sec Audi TT now.
I'm really good at making casual friends but really bad at making close friends. I've been told I'm very approachable but also I have no problem hiding in my room all week or completely cutting people out of my life. It's not like a social battery thing either.
so idk

Yeah, I dunno, the lesson of working for your things and respecting them feels pretty valuable. Can't just seminar your way through knowledge transfer
By JesalR Go To PostYeah, I dunno, the lesson of working for your things and respecting them feels pretty valuable. Can't just seminar your way through knowledge transferThere's gotta be a middle point. Can't just be like "nah, I can't tell you shit, son, go figure it out because that's what my asshole daddy told me to do".
By rodeoclown Go To PostI don't know, brother. Sometimes it's pretty rewarding, but my year has mostly been a mess for a ton of reasons in spite of my students generally being pretty well-behaved.
We switched to a semester system that means I see my students every single day for half the year versus every other day all year and it means I'm spending all my waking time grading. My students are doing bigger summative assessments roughly every other week and grades are basically due every four weeks. I was out with covid and was forced to grade and submit report cards.
That good old American education system.
Let me clarify
Best job in the world (if not in USA)

This is me. Just basically a homebird; I feel rewarded in my work and I like coming home and chilling with the cat, the GF and the Xbox. I go out for people’s birthdays and some work dos, impromptu karaoke maybe 6/7 times a year? Big change from my uni days when I’d be out four times a week.
By reilo Go To PostThere's gotta be a middle point. Can't just be like "nah, I can't tell you shit, son, go figure it out because that's what my asshole daddy told me to do".I hear you, and I’m not saying leave them out on their own, but neither did the original tweet. Feel like you can tell them why it matters and how you’ll help, but that there are certain things you kind of have to experience to learn too.
It's why I said match for the car. Go with them to purchase the car, it won't be their first and they can watch you in action and learn by example. They get to handle insurance, upkeep and gas. 🤷
Give your kids enough advice and experiences so they come at decisions more informed. Ultimately though some shit has to be lived through so they understand but there's no reason to always shove in the deep end without some lessons.

I say cop em the car and make them pay for gas and maintenance
No need to make your kid struggle to learn a lesson.
No need to make your kid struggle to learn a lesson.
It's not hard to match on a shitty used beater but newer cars do have better safety standards (sometimes snicker).
Participating in the finance process when they're of-age with someone that's there with them that knows what's up is absolutely valuable. Having your 22 year old kid go in and get fucked over by a dealership to learn a lesson doesn't make sense. They have no context of a good versus bad rate, for example.
