I only was able to do it because of a scheduled hiatus though. You can get a lot out of giving up what you're used to if you can find fulfillment in other areas. I'm still chicken about quitting my whole line of work though, especially with this recession on the way
EDIT: Another thing I want to add is that humans are seasonal. We have change and cycles built into us by nature. Things used to change on their own; it used to be easier to move on, and that was built into our various cultures over the last hundred millennia. We traded that for a longer lifespan, but you spend it in a state that doesn't fulfill any of that biological programming

Apparently 100,000 people were in the area.
At least 120 people are understood to have been killed in a crush during Halloween celebrations in in Seoul's Itaewon district.

When I was 11 my dad made me go dump the garbage in the alley. I walk out into the alley and a dude is beating another guy with a golf club while they were both naked. The guy with the club only had on boots. I just put the trash in the can and went back into my house to tell my dad. The guy getting beat was dead by the time the sheriffs arrived. Pretty sure he was dead by the time I got into the house. Heard the grunts stop.
