Chargers, yes.
Don't care about the stores or restaurants but give me charger points everywhere.
Also, the amount of walking between gates is important, especially when its a connection flight you are going to.

By diehard Go To PostWhat even makes a good/bad airport?Space. Inside the terminal and on the ramp. No point in having so many gates when those planes can’t take off on time because there’s a queue for takeoff. Space inside the airport for passengers. It shouldn’t feel like NY Comic Con trying to fly. Check in areas are stupid and in certain terminals just creates a mess and it’s unsafe
They just spent billions re-doing the airport here so I would hope it would be good.
Don’t be like terminal 1 at jfk and have an overlook on top of the passengers queuing up to go through security.
Or don’t have a hotel inside the terminal so an employee can commit suicide in the middle of the terminal like MCO
Utah has one of the best airports in the country ez tbf

ATL is notorious for that shit. JFK too - if I ever have to go outside to get from one flight to the next I'm creased for the rest of the day

yeah, DCA is pleasant as fuck compared to some other airports... i'm still not convinced LAX was designed with people leaving in mind
By domino Go To PostI can’t imagine having to connect a flight in ATL we have some massive terminalsHad to sleep there overnight in our trip to Japan because our flight out of Baton Rouge had problems so the airport had to pay to taxi us to New Orleans airport, which sent us to Atlanta, and then there were issues there, too, so we had to sleep there until the next flight to Dallas, and then from there to Japan.
It was the worst experience. Just handed us shitty airplane blankets and pillows and told us to sleep on the floor. Wouldn't put us up in a hotel.
oh, they also misplaced one of my buddy's luggage, so he had to buy some clothes and toiletries while we waited a week for his luggage to arrive
ATL must be trash cuz if DCA was pleasant compared to that..
First of all each gate area is far from each other. The. You get there and in a 20’ x 20’ area you have like 25 gates where each gate has a departing flight at similar times. Then you have a whole food court in the middle so people who don’t even need to be in that area are there because they want some smash burger or Chick-fil-A.

A good airport to me has good seating with enough plugs that people around crowding round 2 broken USB A sockets, stores where you can grab stuff for the flight, solid eating options, and good lounges.
They couldn't find space for us to get to the gate, so we got off the flight about 30 minutes late, and then they made us go through immigration, find our bags, run to a different terminal, check in again and check our baggage too. We wouldn't have made it if our connecting flight wasn't also delayed because there wasn't enough runway space.
Shitshow

You're required to go through customs on any connecting flight if you land at a US airport FYI. It's really dumb, but they'll make you go through that at every airport.
Even worse is you have to get your bags first as they won't transfer them to your next flight.

Had no idea, that was the only time I've connected in the US, looks like it's the only time I'll connect in the US going forward too.
I wonder if it's different if both flights are international or both are domestic?
Either way, awful experience.

Not sure on that part. When we flew in from Italy they told everyone on the plane that if they had a connecting flight they had to grab their checked in bags from baggage claim and go through the whole rigamarole all over.
Will never forget having to basically scramble across the ATL airport with fam to and from their little trams just to get from one gate to another to make a connecting flight. Even my dad was hauling ass, couldn't recall the last time I saw him go like that.
By reilo Go To PostThe new Delta terminal at LaGuardia (I know) is supposed to be top notch but somehow despite flying Delta a bunch (including overseas) none of the flights I want are out of LaGuardia which makes no sense? If LGA was nice I'd prefer that because it would be far more convenient than being stuck on Van Wyck to JFK
Delta is always wanting me to fly into Jersey or JFK when I look for flights

I’m just saying I don’t know how people can deal. Thats an apartment in Charlotte. Just wild.
We pay 2200 for a two bedroom in Toronto. Pandemic pricing I think the same unit is 2800 now. Hard out here

You also got beautiful scenery and the beach, all we got is views of homeless people and urban decay.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostYou also got beautiful scenery and the beach, all we got is views of homeless people and urban decay. For sure but we also have high food, fuel & utility prices to go along with it. Also if you make below 100k USD good luck buying a decent apartment because all of the wealthy expats looking for citizenship have cash on hand which drives up real estate prices.
Most Caymanians make between 48k-66k USD net after taxes and deductions

I forgot all about those dickheads driving up the prices there.
I moved house last week - We sold our 2 bed ground floor flat with garden in Croydon (which is kind of in South London but it also isn't) for £360,000. We bought it for £220,000 in 2014 with mortgage payments costing around £650 a month by the time we left. Here it is on rightmove.
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123113318#/?channel=RES_BUY
We moved to a 3 bed house down the road in Bromley for £580,000. Mortgage payments are £1,450 a month fixed for 5 years. We agreed the mortgage when the base interest rate was 1.0% in June and we extended the length of mortgage compared to our previous one to reduce the payments as my wife is pregnant and money is going to be tight when she goes on maternity leave.
Bit of a cunt though finding out the stamp duty rate (tax on buying a new property) is going to be cut today after it cost us £19k

Grinding your teeth in your sleep sucks
Would occasionally wake up with really bad pains in my mouth and never knew why. I like candy so I just assumed it was a tooth ache from that, but yesterday I fell asleep and my wife woke me up from a nap saying I was grinding my teeth and my teeth are killing me
Ended up going to rite aid to get a mouth guard and used it last night but we’ll see how that goes moving forward. I just wanna pull all my teeth out right now that’s how much this shit hurts
