speaking of weather, A/C broke because of course it did but it's like 70F now so I can wait a couple months before getting extorted
By Pac-12 Go To Postsy's just happy the cockroaches make enough bank that he can charge rent=/
By Smokey Go To PostLiving near the water is great. The wind do be hitting tho you were right about that, but worth it for spring/ summers.
Besides I only felt the wind when I got out the car in NY to walk into work lol but that was enough
car is parked in the garage, by the time I exit the heated seats and wheel are activated
I like how you calling me broke on the low, I actually respect it, I seen the whip so I can't do nothing but salute.

It’s kind of unreal how much easier it is to find a new job while already having one.
By Perfect Blue Go To Post💪🏻Like how people always seem more interested when you’re already in a relationship. There’s someone actively vouching that you know your shit.

I’m currently getting about 3-4 calls a week from recruiters right now …. To my damn office phone on some calls … work cell on others
Going be hilarious when PB just starts getting in to the upper tax bracket then notices all the tax he has to pay. Buddy made 20k more this year but only $800 net
By FortuneFaded Go To PostDon't richies pay less tax?Yea because they don't make income like us worthless peons.
I know you're either being intentionally daft or just ignorant of what being truly rich is.
I'm doing a mandatory Harassment and Diversity training course and the videos are shot in the exact same documentary style as the Office and I cannot take this seriously.
By Lunatic Go To PostFF taking mad Ls todayBiggest L was a student e-mailing saying that she and others have issues reading my handwriting in class. I'm not going to win any caligraphy awards but I like to think it is readable
Thanks to my recent harrasment training, I now know better than to make fun of FortuneFaded's bad handwriting
By reilo Go To PostI'll never forgive my parents for not being millionaires. It's hard enough being a white man in Europe, they couldn't do this one thing for me?
Once you see it

My employer recently had mandatory meetings, literally everyone in tech was required to attend, talking about a process change that was occurring entirely behind the scenes and changed exactly nothing about how we do anything at any time ever.
And yet people still asked questions "what happens if we do XYZ?"
NOTHING YOU MORONS SHUT UP

By the way, I haven't renewed my harassment training, etc., for the year, so that's why I said moron.
I did my 2022 training December luckily it was only a eLearning course. I imagine mangers have a more in-depth one as they have to actually deal with the complaints and the procedures they have to follow.
We go through some of the most ridiculous required training every single year. "How not to accept bribes from foreign governments." I'm pretty sure not being in a customer-facing role, domestic or foreign, is step number 1 and has me covered, but please continue.

By reilo Go To PostNope it's 100% eLearning just like yoursOh lol well that's interesting. Thanks.
Had to present and training to the field and team managers multiple times last year on regulatory requirements for HNW & UHNW clients and they still ask the same questions a year later.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlol you'd be surprisedBruh I feel like people just be lazy as fuck.

Am I remembering that right?
By Daz Go To PostI thought you just got a new finance gig?Life comes at you fast. If he is getting more opportunity he should take it. His 30s are his prime earning years and he is getting married.
Am I remembering that right?
But yea all that time he ignored me saying he should join the dark side and the lad finally did it.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlol you'd be surprised
Well, what I really mean is all these trainings are clearly written from a customer-facing perspective and it's all ridiculous and I have to go through dozens of these kinds of trainings every single year. "This county commissioner, whose business you are trying to win, wants to use your conference room for an important county meeting. What do you do?" I don't know, ask him if he's drunk? I have no idea who the fuck he is, I write code and work from home, and I'm not even allowed into that building.
Earlier, they sort of gave you a way to do assessments to get out of much of them (you remember this shit from last year, right? answer these questions and avoid it this year). That's now becoming less and less the case because of... assholes, I suppose.

I do get that, trust me, I just get so tired of how each of them spend 45 minutes to tell me something a) so obvious and b) so meaningless to my role. (And, again, they're increasingly becoming less available to test out of, that's the biggest gripe.)
By diehard Go To Postgetting to waste 45 minutes im jealous
"Susie has this problem. Watch this video where she tells you about it. Sure, you could have read it in 15 seconds, but we're going to make you click and watch this video where she dramatically tells you about some scenario that has fuck all to do with you."
...video...
"What should Susie do?"
Um, not let that shady looking guy named Lunatic into the breakroom.

You have reached the end of the training where you have clicked through every slide as fast as possible, and there have been linked websites that contain pages and pages of information that you are required to know (if only to pass this training and for no other reason at all). Here, you will be asked to answer 20 questions about the material you admittedly just barely reviewed, and a minimum score of 80% is required to complete the course.
