One of our family dogs had to be put down. She was 16 years old and had been losing her marbles for a while. RIP Sparkle

By Kabro Go To PostWhat are we talking about dipro? Urban settings or scenery?anything worth checking out +- 4h away, i'm staying in new york for 4-5 days for business and then i'd like to go somewhere else for a few days if i'm already there.

Rip.
Why have you never made your way to Korea?
By DY_nasty Go To PostPublic transportation is solid here. I just know that there are people that can deal with crackheads shitting themselves, kids running through trains, broad daylight stabbings, and being elbow to elbow with folks that wouldn't break stride if someone dropped dead - and everyone else.
I used to be absolutely bewildered when I'd describe events I witnessed on the way to work with coworkers who shared the same bus/sub commute only to realize they hadn't acknowledged any of the fukkery at all.
By DY_nasty Go To Postaustralians dont get nearly enough shit for being as racist as they are lol
idk. i kinda want to give nz another look but they really look like the DC of the world now that i have older, more tired eyes

toronto is not a bad shout. love that city.
Toronto and Montreal are both relatively close to NYC by plane. Tomorrow is also Canada Day and thatās always a fun holiday.

Is it though? I loved the way San Fran looked compared to NYC.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostIs it though? I loved the way San Fran looked compared to NYC.Far away sure like from the golden gate bridge on the Marin county side. Lol
Financial District is trash and disgusting.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostIs it though? I loved the way San Fran looked compared to NYC.It really depends. San Francisco has quite a bit of charm in that regard especially around the Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio, and Crissy Field, etc.
However, there's way more things to do in NY and a lot more diversity (people, scenery, culture, etc). I'm awed with NY in the ways I never was with SF, but for different reasons.
By reilo Go To PostPlane tickets gotta be crazy expensive rn thoughthe flight to new york is basically free. i paid 5x more 10 years ago.
By reilo Go To PostI mean, DC is < 3 hour train ride from Penn Station. But lol DC.been there before. that's enough for me.

I'm from NY, maybe it's just me being bored with it, I just liked the way SF looked compared to it.
Forget flying right now, lineups everywhere, tons of flights getting cancelled and if your connection is anything less than 2 hours consider your second leg missed for sure.
It's a huge mess.
Just today AC announced 150 something less flights per day this summer. Madness.

Speaking of flying, six weeks of travelling without any issues and my luggage gets lost in Lisbon on the way back š

By Kabro Go To PostDon't care if it's a short distance to my destination.
I'm not walking in so cal summer.
Weak mentality. Was 107 the other day and I walked 2 miles just for fun. Then I walked to the grocery store to buy food for dinner. Ended up being around 2.75 miles in 107 heat. The only good thing about small towns is you can walk everywhere
By i can get you a toe Go To PostShootings and stabbings happen all of the time on transit lol. Then you had a mass shooting a couple months ago on the NY Subway, luckily it wasn't worse. No idea why you're trying to play this down. But other than that, there's just lots of ill people and drugs and brehs/brehettes getting drunk on busses and trains that people don't want to deal with.I really wasn't - I just don't think "we're different to everyone else" is true or a good enough reason.
I've seen a man take a shit on the platform of Tottenham Court Underground station.

Thank God they have the connecting bridges between hotels.
I wouldn't want to leave my hotel if there wasn't any.
