By Lunatic Go To PostBredrin I'm so lucky I can get my fade and a shape up in one week right now. People don't understand how important our hair is. It's a totally cultural thing. I honestly spend 170 USD a month on my hair.I’ve been spoiled by my old barber he never raised the price on me since I’ve been seeing him since I was like 8. 12 bucks a cut and I’d tip it up to 25 bucks a cut
My barber now is 40 but that’s about the going rate in Atlanta it seems
When I was looking for a barber when I got to NY I saw some of the most hipster Williamsburg / Bushwick motherfuckers wanting to charge $90 for a 30min haircut.
Fuck all the way outta here.
Fuck all the way outta here.
$90 lol
Mine charges me $15 bucks, but I give him $25 total since he's a close friend of the family and takes his time in cutting my hair, real old school barbershop but a young dude operating it - all cash, of course.

I found a spot near Park Slope based off a rec for $35 but they upped it to $40 in April. Which like, whatever. But it's too far of a commute so I need to look again.
A perk of shaving your head is that each "cut" costs like maybe $1 in materials if you are willing to do the shaving yourself (and you should, it's easy and relaxing).
By Yurtlicious Go To PostI imagine acquiring a wife is costly though🦎
We’re so right pocket left pocket with our money tbat we don’t even do gifts for each other. Small things only. Kids on the other hand …
Omg, fucking new york, can't get into my Airbnb as someone got stabbed outside the store next to it and it is now cut off as a crime scene.
By Batong Go To PostAlmost as good as the Toronto transit system.Toronto.... 😐
Now to ignore the NYC one as much as possible..
Batong, pls

Gentrified Brooklyn ain’t nothing to fuck with
When I moved to Queens two years ago there was a barbershop around the corner and decided to take a chance, best one I’ve ever been to. They all can cut hair, even the Mexican guy that can’t speak any English.
It’s nice to know that even if my go to guy isn’t available, any one of them can cut hair just as good.
By Lunatic Go To PostThe TTC lol
By Old King Rob Go To PostGentrified Brooklyn ain’t nothing to fuck withYea I'm gonna try to stick to Queens for price and convenience. The whole "we got espresso and a shitty can of beer for you" vibes can go to the bin if the haircut is overpriced and shitty.

My issue is the girl I trust with my hair moved 100 miles away. Got long hair and don't want to risk going to another place, asking for a clean up and coming out looking like one of those skinny-jeans alpaca-looking fucks.
By Xpike Go To Postthat's a lot more dancing than was neededif you don't dance to This is how we do it, I doubt you are human.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostBC Transit and Translink are better.
We're spoiled here in Montreal, think we have the best public transit network in all of N.A., the Metro system is getting an extension right now + the new fast rail train system makes it a breeze to get around the city. Then you have all the bike paths. You really don't need a car if you love here, not to mention that if a car is really needed you can just get a Communeauto.
By Pedja Go To PostAn hour and a half into a 45 min meeting…Rookie numbers.
Once had a three hour meeting that started an hour after my normal ending time and was all in Korean just so I could say two minutes worth of shit at the end.
how have people not gotten tired of the club meta yet.
overpriced bottle service. sitting areas. minimal/no dancing. everyone on IG live or taking selfies.

Later this week is my 9 year anniversary at work and it's by far the longest I've been at a job in my life. I should probably do something to celebrate like splurge on something. Any ideas/recommendations?
