Migraines fucking suck
I get a grab bag of side effects every time. Visual aura usually goes away after an hour of rest but I still have numbness in my mouth, lingering head pain, general fogginess
I hadn't had one since last June and I just had 2 in a row in like the last month

Happy FFday
When it was really bad, I'd lose vision almost entirely and I'd just be spending the night in the hospital. Whole body would be be wracked. I got stretchered off campus twice. Had scans, MRIs, blood work done, everything. Itsnotatumor
Spent all of college and high school bouncing between different medications.

Holy shit. Never been fully hospitalized but when it got really bad I got the cat scans and things. Nothing as well.
Prescribed meds didn't relieve the symptoms any better than regular ibuprofen, so I just take two or three of those and ride it out now. First sign is usually vision cutting out, but sometimes I've lost speech coherence first. That one was scary

I didn't think I'd be able to join the military either tbh. I had one migraine my first year and this old crusty nurse told me to just pound caffeine and excedrin whenever I felt my vision get staticky. Now I'm a caffeine addict, but that shit worked like a charm lol

It was bad times. That is also the treatment my gf's docs recommended when recovering from a spinal tap. Something about the caffeine making up for the lack of spinal fluid, iirc.

By bud Go To Postcongrats sy 🎂 🥳it's not my birthday, i was just responding to domino's post about everyone being minimum 28 lol
By Not Go To PostMigraines fucking suckI get them infrequently now but had them regularly as a kid. Can't tell you anything you don't already know but my ritual is Paracetamol + Ibuprofen + Caffeine, a dark room and/or a eye mask, ice pack for my forehead. And just wait it out.

I actually sleep with an eye mask all the time now. It's great. Pavlovian conditioning.
