Did mine (laser) last year. Funny when you lie there and you smell something burnt and you realise it's the laser hitting your 👀😆. Procedure took 2 mins per eye and was over quickly though. Recovery was longer obviously.
I would say that I'm 97% happy with it, a bit more long sighted than short sighted compared to before which is annoying when you have to work at a computer and the strain from eight or more hours looking at a screen still means I get dry eyes and have to take drops from time to time (but would have if I kept lenses in for the whole day too).

No was going to be LASIK after initial check-up but after I arrived to the surgery they said that my left eye had a scratch and that it wasn't safe to do the flap of LASIK and did a LASEK one instead which meant that the first few days of recovery was longer. Think any of the modern methods are that quick for the actual operation and recovery differs between them.

And if you do buy a firearm, be sure to have separate locked storage units (preferably safes) for the firearm and ammo. Never store them in the same storage unit. I will be extremely mad at you if you don't take firearm safety deadly serious.

My mom goes to the range a lot and I guess was really good with firearms back in the navy. I went with her one time and I think that was the only time I’ve ever seen her disappointed in me and it wasn’t for me doing some dumbass shit or getting in trouble.

If they are both separate, that isn't a possibility.
My dad was a state trooper and loved guns but was also a huge stickler for gun safety. He had multiple locked display cases for the weapons (so, you could easily break the glass and get to them), but the ammo was always in a safe somewhere else. I think it may have even been in his toolshed, which was not even attached to the house.
In any case, he drilled that safety stuff into me and even had me watch multiple gun safety videos before letting me use the Daisy BB rifle he got me for Christmas.

Oh, one other note. If you are planning to use a firearm as protection against home invasion, I don't really advise it for a variety of reasons. But, if you must, then get a low-power shotgun. The shot won't penetrate through walls as easily, easier to aim, less likely to kill, and still more than powerful enough to put even a strongman hopped up on all the drugs on their ass.
