I live on the edge of greenbelt and countryside, so lots of country roads that aren't too busy. What fucks with me is that every Land-Rover or SUV driver gets right up my fucking ass even though I'm doing the 60mph limit. They don't even overtake. They've got literal half-miles of space to get past me if they want to speed but no, they want to be right up my arse the entire fucking journey. Then you get the tailgaters who speed right up to you, then slow down, and then speed right back up to you again.
really wish this country forced you to retake your driving lessons and test if you want to drive anything bigger than a sedan.
I freak out when SUVs are behind me when I'm riding the Z3, the car sits so low and these new SUVs have the brightest headlights which practically blind you.

They just have heavy ass feet and eventually ride up your ass. Been in a car with such a person, like they didn't really understand how to coast or cruise, they would just get faster until they noticed they were way over the limit. I don't ride with this person anymore for obvious reasons.

Everyone drives right up alongside each other and that's the most dangerous part. If you're doing 60 and the person next to you is doing 60 and you're right along each other, it actually reduces your perception of how fast you are going -- so 60mph will be perceived as much slower which kills your reaction times.
It's why places like Germany are hyper strict about making sure you are not allowed to even be in the next left-most lane if you're not passing anyone even if the lane is empty.

Pedestrians, mostly. But other motorists too. Outward visibility on that thing has to be stupid bad. Saw a test mule last year when I was in CO and the thing is HUGE and the windows are bunker-like.
I have a truck because I have half an acre of land and hundred foot trees in a place where everything grows insane amounts. It doesn't get used for city travel if I can avoid it though. Just too huge

America is hyper focused on speeding tickets because it's the easiest to prove in court to get that sweet sweet revenue. Cops don't give a shit about actually curbing reckless driving because it requires them to pay attention to what's happening on the road rather than wait for some beeps to tell them someone is speeding while they do fuckall.

i keep having nightmares about the last few months at uni when i was supposed to write my thesis and was procrastinating like crazy because i was in a bad place and then had to do it in an insane crunch over the last two weeks. all the dread of failing and the stress i was under always feels so real.
