Staying inside being locked down under COVID-19 restrictions is not healthy man, this shit is locking ourselves in making our home a prison of sorts for us.
Consider doing outdoor activities and pick up new outdoor hobbies, no matter how cold, gear up for it.

How do you rationalise working overtime when you’re already comfortable with your standard wage?
It’s a mental block I often fall into, that I’m trying to get over since me and girlfriend live quite comfortably and within our means. Yet I know I could still do with earning more since we’d like to redecorate, renovate and eventually buy my parents’ house.

I don’t think a side job could compete with earning 200-240 per OT shift. I have thought about doing something on the side in the past like making and selling custom sleeved power supply cables or custom controllers though. It just never seemed worth the initial investments in either to make an appreciable amount of money from.
Roughly need to sell 5 controllers or 3-4 sets of cables to equal the money I’d make from one OT shift.

Went to the ear doctor a couple days ago and found I am almost borderline mildly hearing impaired between 3k-4k hz. Which does go a bit to explain why sometimes people's speech can sound a bit muddy to me.
Good news is that my hearing hasn't really changed over the course of the last year so my next appointment is in three years.
