Innit, was listening to impressions of it and it sounds perfect for me. Not a huge fan of the artstyle from the screens I've seen but then I thought obra dinn was ugly as sin until I saw it in motion.
Will give it a year to see if it comes to console, if not I'll just have to play it on pc

That's often the problem with big license games innit. Even if you aren't repeating the storyline of the adapted media by design, there will always be the expectation of treading the same ground and hitting the same notes that made it popular.
Even if Kotor isn't really directly related to the events of the Star Wars movie, you can't make a Star Wars game without not Chewbacca, not R2D2, not Han Solo, etc. Those fucking Lord of the Rings RPGs, apart from being a carbon copy of FF, you played not Strider, and not Legolas and not Gimli and put together your not fellowship and just did the same fucking thing they did like fight the Balrog, even though it makes no sense.
This game's setting is supposedly hundreds of years before present day, no? It'll be the same shit, go to the same classes, fight the evil wizards, use the same basic limited roster of spells, with those of boring ass beasts movie notes on top.
At least they could've done some pokemon shit, or like just chill with a low stakes high-school rpg, but nah...
