By HonestVapes Go To PostI couldn’t rest last night because of the ordeal. I logged back in solo and no-clip’d over there to reclaim both our gear. I don’t deal with loss well.Getting comfortable with playing a Diablo-like in Hardcore mode is a good way to learn how to handle digital gear loss in video games, imo. It helped me, at least. lol
Dying Light 2 is underrated. A lot to do, really fun gameplay, average but competent narrative.
No HDR for some reason though which is weird.

thank god warzone is removed from the base game

yes
There's no good 6v6 maps in MW2. There's only one bad one (the race track is absolute dog shit) but it's sad that there's no map that pops up and I get excited. The battle rifles or w/e are way too strong too.
the sicario one? I always take the side with the tunnel
it's fine I guess
the really shitty one is the one in the desert, too many open areas

He'd only started it recently I think to see if doing the Twitter thing was financially sustainable and it turns out it wasn't. I don't blame him. He was doing other peoples' work for them for free.

yeah, that one's the worst.
again, i'm having fun with the game, but i'm more excited about the prospect of the old mw2 maps returning.
can't wait to pay them for it
the maps are defo better than all that shit in 2019.
but still just meh to okay.

By Kibner Go To PostMultiplayer map design is a lost art.
it really is. Not that something like csgo ever nails it the first time around, but they keep the maps around for years and tweak them, until they get good. CoD got a new game to sell every few years instead with new maps.

Not in CQ.
By Patriotism Go To PostNot in CQ.Rush, my brother, the only mode that counts.

By NiceGuy Go To PostWas dead to me when I realised that people actually wanted to play Metro on BF3Yeah... modern map design (especially Overwatch) caters to those people. Which, I understand. The vast majority of players only play for a little while a few times a week and maps like Metro ensure they can just get into the mindless action they are seeking.
A lot of us here, though, like to "main" a game for a while and prefer maps with a good and varied flow. But those kinds of maps are much harder to make than meatgrinder chokepoint maps and there isn't as much a return, especially if you are releasing a new game every year or two.
That's probably why CS:GO iterates on their maps like they do: they depend on people buying into the existing game and continuing to play it so that they feel safe in "investing" money into the real monetization of the game: skins.

I hate vehicles/aircraft in multiplayer. The people on my team never know how to use it while the other team has people that make Maverick look like a joke.
Battlefield was never for me. I just played that one cuz I was tired of Halo/Gears.

i somehow forgot about that border crossing map
which is strange as i think it is the worst map of all time
By DiPro Go To PostReturnal is quite mid.
action bois have been lying to us.
I honestly don’t know if Ive ever seen a good video game opinion from you lmao
Metro map in bf3 was peak terrible design, might be one of my disliked maps in any mp game ever.
(halo infinite big ass indoor map was also one)

buy cod to try the border crossing map then refund it
its like a console game that had a map maker but you could see the object limit in the corner of the screen
and the "designer" just decided to try and hit that limit by all means necessary on the smallest map they could

I'm itching for a Stalker-like game, preferably one with a solid multiplayer/coop component.
The likes of Escape from Tarkov don't quite do it for me, feels too ... narrow and artificial, somehow. As much as I find myself caring less and less for open world games in general, this kind of game would definitely have to be.
I'm not sure what would work best, I'm envisioning some kind of modern era RDR2 with coop. All I know is Far Cry isn't it.

Finished with Silent Hill 3. What a game.

I think the general consensus is that it isn't. But it is a fan theory. Don't think anyone involved in making it ever said it was or wasn't.

Never realised how good we had it during those days of Quake and it's adjacent games. Seeing maps go through their first release all the way to the last, to accommodate prevailing comp playstyles or balance changes etc.

In the last decade I feel like there have only been two maps I've played that are top tier multiplayer shooter maps
