We must've put in ~100h, done and explored everything there was to and ended our adventure by building a proper viking mansion. One of those chill multiplayer experiences I wish I could erase from memory and do all over again. I wonder how much they've added in 12 months, some parts and biomes were very clearly still not finished, but that's early access for ya.
Here's me, overseeing the construction of the underground portal room. Still have our server's backup files, who knows, maybe one day.

I played more today, I can see me and my bro Phil putting in some hours together. So far we've only just discovered/forged bronze.

I rented it when I was a kid, and that first part of the game scarred me for life. Didnt actually play it properly until after SH2, cause I was too scared at first.
btw in case you dont know, SH3 is pretty much a direct sequel to 1.

that goes for so many horror games these days i feel, not just ps1 inspired ones. pretty sad to design your games around twitch. but i guess if you are willing to do that, nothing of great value was lost

Had our first real failure in Valheim tonight. It hurts.
Me and Phil were all geared up with brass weapons. He had troll leather gear, I had brass armour. We beat The Elder earlier in the night and decided to set sail to find a new biome.
We set off in our karve. We sailed south, saw some spooky swamp island in the distance and made haste. As we approached the shore, there were draugr and skeletons. In my poor judgement, I attempted to snipe the draugr with my bow, but that mother fucker pulled out his own bow and I swear it was aiming with a final mouse and had aimbot because it fucked me up.
Then the pack fucked Phil up too.
We decided to go again in the spare raft in hopes we could grab our gear and make it back.
We made it to the shore again just in time to see them destroy our karve that we left behind when we died.
Phil jumped off to grab his gear then got one hit by the CSGO pro draugr. I made it to shore but got swarmed by the skeletons before I could get my bearings and defend myself.
I’ve never felt loss in a video game like this before. I feel emotionally destroyed.
