By Dark PhaZe Go To PostPlaying RE4 VR has been….an experience to say the least. Once I get used to it I'm sure it'll be fine, but manually loading weapons during hectic situations can feel like a lot of juggling. I love it, but it's just a lot to come to grips with. Even little things like not being sure how many rounds are left in your gun…it's another immersive thing that you didn't have to really think about it with controller play.
Knowing how much VR visuals will improve with tech, and generally thinking the Oculus controllers are good enough for now, the thing that requires the most attention at this point should be locomotion. Even with a large basement, room scale started to get annoying. Inevitably the end game environments are too large, and you're going to run into real life boundaries that feel limiting. So one of the big devs (Valve, Meta, Sony, etc, not some kickstarter) needs to come up with way to convincingly walk and jog in place with the price for that peripheral ideally being sub 300 dollars.
Kinda solved with arm swinging based movement. Not every game supports it though. H3VR does and it’s a really great implementation of it. Recommend trying it out.
My first impressions of my first Nintendo console since the NES is … well it’s neat I guess. I really like the portability of it. More than I thought I would. Probably has to do with the graphic sucking so much that I’m ok with a small crappy screen. They’re more impressive for a handheld lol. Very convenient though. The UI blows and the online sucks ass.
The controllers are built for a younger crowd so tbat good for kids but bad for me lol. Hand hurt when playing undocked.
One of the 4 main bosses down in BOtW and it’s super fun and very much reminds me of playing ocarina of time on my sisters old system. Controls kinda blow though. Combat kinda meh. Outside of tbat it’s a blast though.

And then might as well just switch to docked lol..
Going on 4 years with my Switch and still have never bothered to buy a pro controller. I did buy the Hori joycons with a more traditional controller layout though, recommend them for handheld play.

I’ve got a feeling I won’t play it very much after a couple select titles and it will end up as mostly my kids. I’m hesitant to spend money on a controller
Grab an 8bitdo adapter instead of a pro controller, you can use a DualShock, DualSense or Xbox controller that you might already have

Doesn't sound like a solution against motion sickness though. There's really no difference between standing in place waving your arms vs using analog stick movement. The point of good VR locomotion is to convince your body that it's moving so that there's no disconnect with your equilibrium.
There's no solution to be had for this for games where you're sitting in place (cars, roller coasters, horseback riding, cockpits) though. Train your VR legs or dramamine I guess.
If you have Prime, Jedi Fallen Order origin key is one of the freebies this month. Plus some other shit.

"My father was a drill sergeant, my mother just was a hard-working woman. They had little, but they taught me the value of giving back. They taught me the value of helping those in need. I called you know, my friend from Nintendo Switch. Ordered about 1000 Switches and 1000 PS5s. I went to Walmart and got bikes. So you know yesterday, at this little elementary school in McDonough Georgia, kids were crying, kids were happy. And that's what it's all about."

An hour into Radiant Historia and...this will either end up being one of the GOATs or a missed tap in
You'll get the hang of the story though no worries, I barely remembered anything from the first one.
By n8 dogg Go To PostPsychonauts tutorial level super fun. Controls great. Looks great. No idea what’s happening.it's a DIRECT sequel to the first game (like literally hours after the first ends or something) which is audacious to say the least lmao.

Got Hyrule Warriors for Christmas and it’s pretty fun. Seems like it’ll be perfect to play for 30 minutes a day.
Also bought Outriders for $20. My character is level 10. Unsure if it’s worth $20.

Same. For a third person shooter, the gameplay was actually fun. The game itself dragged on far too much though.
copped the great ace attorney chronicles, seems like shu takumi decided he needed to save the franchise from itself.
enjoying it so far.

It’s just the other shit that kind of bogs the rest of the game down. I can see myself still having a blast at higher levels if the abilities continue to be nuts.
