By Perfect Blue Go To PostWatched Bergman Island today. Makes me want to go on a vacation to a secluded Scandinavian island for a week and just take photos. Mia Hansen-Løve one of the best doing it currently, dudes.Whole Gotland is amazing tbh.
But it also has a lot of sheeps and you better visit it before Russia commands it.
Buzz Lightyear movie was really good, took my nephew and it was his first movie experience. He was in awe lol
Nope is really gonna be another Us
Felt like a comedy from the trailer I saw before Jurassic World, gave so much away
Jurassic World was Jurasstastic 😎
Lol didn’t need the OG cast but let’s have them do a dumbass side plot to get them there and let’s do callbacks but it worked
Nostalgia wins and yeah I eat it up

saw the pirates trilogy. 1 and especially 2 are so much fun.
the third one, however, shits the bed though it's still decent enough to watch it once, i suppose.
hustle features a pretty good adam sandler. i wish he would--and hopefully will do so going forward--take on more serious roles. he's pretty good.
the film itself is a really standard sports film. serviceable if forgettable.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostEbert gave Die Hard 2/4. I can never take his opinion seriously.
Ebert gave lots of renowned films bad scores, and lots of reviled films good scores. Still the best film critic of all time because of his writing.
Everything Pixar has put out has been releasing has been flopping hard financially(soul, Luka, turning red, now Light-year). Wonder if they're in trouble.
Edit: Light-year has a 200m budget before marketing 😬

By Kabro Go To PostTheir formalaic storytelling is getting dull. It's almost as-if that's the Disney formula
By DY_nasty Go To PostBad movies are more fun than good moviesThat can be true but nah not for this Jurassic world movie, this was bad in a way where it's not funny bad or entertainingly bad. It was just plain average 5/10 movie.
There's only so many times you can feel any sort of excitement when the main characters are stuck in a random area with a dinosaur, say "don't move...just breathe", then the dinosaur roars into their faces, they run, the dinosaur keeps narrowly missing and snapping at their feet, then the main characters get away. They do that about 9 times. And the movie is 140 minutes or something.

Mgs4 is a fantastic game. Especially on first and second playthrough.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostBlasphemy.where would you place it in the MGS series?

By DiPro Go To Postwhere would you place it in the MGS series? It's probably the worst of the main 4 but that still makes it the 4th best game of all time.
I watched the new Top Gun. It was alright.
Solid production all around, but also clichéd as fuck and really stupid if you know anything about planes. Tried to turn brain off, couldn't quite do it.

You're going to have the "stupid if you know anything about planes" bit
By Willkiller Go To PostYou're going to have the "stupid if you know anything about planes" bitOf course, but there's levels to everything.
Anyway, it was a fun two hours, from the reactions I just thought I was going to get a sliiightly more kino-ish movie.

Shit I forgot a vital word there, "you're going to have to explain the 'stupid if you know anything about planes' bit" is what I meant to post

Countless hours spent in DCS finally paying off.
Exaggerated maneuvers, Maverick casually performing feats so crazy and unsafe getting ejected from the navy would be the least of his problems, not to mention the entirety of the grand theft F-14 sequence, which is Fast & Furious levels of ridiculous.
Maybe they explained it in the movie and I already forgot, but the Navy would never use F/A-18s for such a mission, they simply don't have the range for it, certainly not at the sustained high speeds depicted in the movie. Maybe they're saving F-35s for Top Gun 3.
Moreover, they'd never use fighter jets over high altitude bombers or long range gps-guided missiles / bombs to begin with.
It's fine, it works in the context of the movie, I was just expecting a somewhat more realistic setup to the whole thing, I don't even know why.

Sounds like an expectation issue on your part. Film would be boring as shit if it was anything close to “realism”

A gps guided missile riding a sport bike ain't gonna clear a billion at the box office like Tom.
