Watched prisoners. Really liked it until the ending. I mean i still liked it a lot overall, but that ending shit with the old religious lady was big sleep
By Perfect Blue Go To PostI watched Inland Empire at a special screening.
Man, wtf was that.
The plot isn't that hard to explain. Laura Dern is some sort of polish ghost. An actress is hired in los angeles, slowly she loses the ability to distinguish between the script and real life. Then there's about an hour of scary noises and people walking down hallways. Finally Laura describes pulling out a man's eye, and then everyone does a fun dance.
Of course the real actual answer, is that it's just David Lynch's dreams and daydreams put to film then stitched together. That's literally it.

i saw everything everywhere all at once yesterday.
these lads could've used some restraint. the middle was way too long, which caused the (seemingly endless) sentimental parts overbearing.
still, overall, a very enjoyable and charming film.
would bump it up to 8/10 if edited down a bit, but for now i'll leave it at 7.5/10.

Watched Scum this week. Decent film that turns the grim bits to 11 in the final 25 minutes. Anyone seen the original version that the BBC wouldn't air? Worth looking for?
Man, I just paused a dram that had St Paul's cathedral, Tower Bridge and houses of Parliament in the same shot.
These guys didn't give a fuck.

The heartwarming story of A. A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh is about to take a grisly turn in an upcoming horror film entitled Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
This version of Winnie the Pooh is not to be confused with Disney’s licensed character, who is known for wearing a red shirt. On January 1, Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh universe, with the exception of Tigger, entered the public domain, allowing anyone to work on their “original iterations of Pooh” and include them “into any of your creative work” including movies, musicals and plays, according to Jennifer Jenkins, director of the Center for the Study of the Public Domain at Duke University.

I thought Everything Everywhere All At Once was incredible. Three superb lead performances, ambitious, creative, wildly entertaining, and eventually sentimental as fuck. Best new movie I’ve seen in ages.

Yeah, was just really good. Really enjoyed the performance of the daughter.

I think her and Quan’s roles were arguably more difficult than Yeoh’s; they had to play entirely different characters rather than just find facets of the same character. All three wonderful, though.
I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. Could sit through it again right now.
