Prey-dator
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
The filmmakers were committed to creating a film that provides an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and brings a level of authenticity that rings true to its Indigenous peoples. Myers, an acclaimed filmmaker, Sundance Fellow and member of the Comanche nation herself, is known for her attention and dedication to films surrounding the Comanche and Blackfeet nations and her passion for honoring the legacies of the Native communities. As a result, the film features a cast comprised almost entirely of Native and First Nation's talent, including Amber Midthunder ("The Ice Road," "Roswell, New Mexico"), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp ("Sooyii"), Michelle Thrush ("The Journey Home"), Julian Black Antelope ("Tribal").
Very interested in this. Could have been cool if they could have gone with Dan Trachtenberg's original plan of not revealing it was a Predator movie.
Everything, Everywhere All At Once - wonderfully insane. Michelle Yeoh is so good. The film had me laughing all the way through lol. Loved it.
By Laboured Go To PostIt was very bad but it still never touches the depths that the Venom movies plumb.
damn dude just say you hate gay cinema
Look I just want a Nermernuh movie sucks we need a killer space alien in there to get it greenlit
Also hello Amber Midthunder
Also hello Amber Midthunder
My abiding feeling about The Northman was that it was gud BUT it did not have enough of ATJ fuccing. Although I will concede that a lot of movies suffer from this problem.

She did seduce him, and he returned naked after.
and he did love titties, as he was creeping on his own sister.
Rewatched Johnnie To's PTU. Forgot how corrupt he makes the police look. How did he get away with that?
By Daz Go To PostI dont remember this part of the film…
Caleb was getting horny over his own sister then he got lost and some hot lady came out of a shack with bouncing titties and a red dress and kissed him then he walked back naked and vommed up an apple or something then had an orgasm and died
Given the choice between dying at the hands of a titty witch or dealing with Black Phillip I know what I’d pick
oh i was thinking more about creeping on your sister, if she was anya taylor joy of course.
the witch part should be a given too

By Laboured Go To PostI quite liked Black Phillip. He seemed rather nice.

That would definitely send shivers down my spine, brother.
By DY_nasty Go To Postfinally about to watch spoderman :oDon't have too much expectation. It was just alright.
By Zabojnik Go To PostThe Northman was okay.
The Witch > The Lighthouse > The Northman
I reiterate
Witch and Lighthouse are hard 9s
Northman is a soft 8
this is the way
I swear, it feels like I watched a completely different film to you guys whenever the VVitch comes up.
It was just OK.

The witch hard 10.
Other two are 9's.
A lot of people seems to think that it's just alright. For me it's the one newer horror film that can match some of the classics. Absolutely loved the paranoid family drama, and black Phillip is a legend

Have to say the tension was entirely gone on second viewing, but that's prolly because I think Black Phillip rules too much.
The thing that struck me most about the Witch was how unfussy it was. No boring exposition about where the monster came from etc, it just happens to live out in the woods and can get you at any time. It was remarkably confident for a first feature too.
One of the best horror films ever made.

I remember liking it but I have to say, I can barely remember anything from it. So it can't have been that good to me. The Lighthouse much better.
Like when these lot were on about Caleb raping some witch or being raped by a witch yesterday, I had no fucking idea what they were on about. So then I put witch rape caleb into google, probably not a great idea.
By Old King Rob Go To PostThat dudes voice alone makes the movie a 7/10.
Erm excuse me, that's Chris Finch. IQ of 142, one of the cleverest blokes I know, certainly the cleverest bloke you know.
Factor in the stand-alone movies Rogue One and Solo, and the Bay Area production company had been churning out a blockbuster a year, a breakneck pace considering that Lucas himself only released one Star Wars film every three years—with well over a decade between trilogies. Kennedy wanted to dispense with the annual deadline and reconsider everything. The most important lesson they’d learned was this: Star Wars required a greater degree of professional devotion from filmmakers. “Anyone who comes into the Star Wars universe needs to know that it’s a three-, four-, five-year commitment,” she says. “That’s what it takes. You can’t step in for a year and shoot something and then walk away…. It requires that kind of nurturing.”Unless, of course, you're Rian Johnson making a good movie about the necessary dissolution of aristocracy
